20 years Scooter Center Part 2: EVERYONE STARTS SMALL

1990: MB Developments, Taffspeed, Kegra, AF Rayspeed are names that make every scooter driver watery eyes at the beginning of the nineties. An exhaust or a tuned cylinder from one of the famous tuning companies is the greatest. Ulf is increasingly combining his visits to English meetings with shopping trips for friends. The first contacts via the channel have been made.

The scooter scene is booming in Germany. The big meetings are: Hamburg, Braunschweig and Aachen. With his GS 4 Custom Good Thing, Oli wins the 200 class of the legendary Quartermile in Braunschweig.

Also in 1990 five Vesps and a Service T3 (VW bus) set off from Cologne for Lake Garda. Since everything stops on the way there, Vespa number six is bought. At Mirosso Rent on Lake Garda there is a Vespa Rally TS 125 that can be placed in the bus. This TS 125 is the first scooter imported by Oliver and is still in very good hands with our friend Mod-Volker. Mirosso Rent will be a permanent contact point for Oli and in the coming years a number of Vespas and Lambrettas will be examined, invited, but also slaughtered for spare parts.

Ulf is now using his contacts in England to get complete scooters. Legendary journeys that often begin on Friday evenings with the current edition of Scootering.

Sequel follows…
