20 years Scooter Center - Part 3: The garage and the expansion

1992: Ulf and Oli discovered the business of importing scooters independently of each other. With Italy and England they complement each other perfectly. That's how they found it in the middle of the year SCOOTER CENTER COLOGNE. The main business is still on the import of used Vespas and Lambrettas as well as special and tuning parts.

1993: The business structures have consolidated. One garage has become three. When that is no longer enough, they move into the Im Rosengarten shop. Of the 108 square meters of business space, 64 square meters are accounted for by the shop.

In May 1993 the two imported the first SIL GP 200 directly from India. The 25 pieces are sold within three weeks. Replenishment cannot be obtained on land as the future of SIL is uncertain.

The company philosophy of the SCK is defined at an early stage and announced in the Scootering News. Here you can find a service from the scooter driver for the scooter driver. So that the new owners of the Italian cultural asset can really enjoy their scooters, the SCOOTER CENTER the complete supply of spare parts is also secure. Quote Oli: “We have everything!” A statement that is true to this day. And if not, everything will be taken care of quickly and easily. Telephone orders are possible 24 hours a day thanks to revolutionary answering machine technology. The “Am Rosengarten” shop is usually open from Monday to Saturday. Unless there are important runs, then it is closed on Saturdays. The orders are dispatched on the same day and the packages are brought to the post office with the Ape itself.
