Next SC Open Day on September 18, 2021

"The Scooter Center closes its store sale“That we would ever say that was inconceivable a few months ago, even unthinkable. The thought of it brings tears to our eyes. We have been selling scooter parts since 1992, personally, with passion and love for what we do.

For us, the store was much more than a business premises. At the same time, it was the perfect place to exchange ideas about the shared hobby, to get feedback and constructive criticism. But of course also a lot of praise, which we were happy about and which has always inspired us.

The last fifteen months with Corona have changed a lot. Home office workplaces have become just as standard as online meetings, minimum distances, hygiene regulations and protective measures.

Since the corona-related closure of the shop in November 2020, we have been working intensively on the possibility of enabling you to pick up the goods. So is ours CLICK & COLLECT developed. To compensate for the permanent closure of the store, this will be click&collect continue to offer and, above all, expand. We are currently working on pick-up options that are also outside of our business hours in order to be able to offer you greater flexibility than ever before.

We love the contact with you, our common hobby, the common laugh, talk shop and talk. So we look forward to the coming Open Day on Saturday September 18th. In addition, we have other special events in the pipeline so that we can continue to exchange ideas about the most beautiful hobby in the world.

part of Scooter Center Being a team also means working with great people. Driving is even better than working! Passionate Lambrettisti sit in the office on both my left and right. So it was only a matter of time before I would go with one of them. Or rather with her, but she is not just any girl, she is: Yoleila (as she is known on Facebook) or Julia. She is president of the Lambretta Club in Germany, drives scooter races, collects old vehicles in their original condition, works as a graphic designer ... and I could go on with the list. Navigation: Your scooter quickly & easily in focus

The internal project name “Expresso-Navigation ”says it all: Just like the popular Italian espresso: black, quick, easy and super good!
The navigation at the top, at the top of the page, is the new central element of the Scooter Center Stores:

Everyone is preparing for the Scooter Center Classic Day 2019 before. A meeting that, by the way, will be very exciting for me, not only because I'm the first from our club, the den Scooter Center Attended OpenDay, but because it will be the only event of its kind that I have ever attended.

3. From the ground floor - the logistics

Although in the middle of summer and with a little over 40 °, this week in the shipping department I felt like I was in the middle of Christmas because I prepared packages like a Santa Claus elf.

It was one thing to receive goods from suppliers, it was important because this is where supplies come just in time for our customers. But it is much more fun to pack the packages with the wishes of the customers. Each box tells its own story that I can imagine:

an urgent repair in the express service
a restoration project
a great custom scooter with fine parts
a blatant racing scooter with racing parts
a fast Vespa with tuning products from bgm
or just a little optics tuning according to aesthetic taste, mirrors, handles, chrome parts etc.

Our Online-Shop is currently five languages, other languages are in preparation. That's how I packed orders for all parts of the world. The Spanish-speaking countries are of course a particular pleasure for me. Led by Spain, countries like: Argentina, Peru, Mexico and also Colombia, my home in Latin America, follow. That made me feel a little closer to home.

2. My first week

In my first week as a trainee, I got to know the details of the process from ordering to goods registration in the respective departments. My tasks were to reorder products with modern IT systems depending on the inventory and demand. The receipt of goods, the addition of new products to the system and also the packaging and storage. With so many different parts I've had to deal with, how can so many parts fit on our little scooter?

From the base like Cylinder and carburettor from bearings, seals to all body parts such as entire frame sets or side panels and fenders, all the smallest screws, washers, nuts, split pins up to the accessories, original, restoration, tuning, customizing. Sooner or later, we scooter drivers come into contact with the parts on our scooter. Hello, my name is Maryzabel!

1. About me:

I've been a scooter for a third of my life; I come from Colombia, a country where Vespas are rare but highly valued. I started the Vespa adventure without knowing what to expect. But I was determined to find not only a design and custom object in the Vespa, but also a means of transport.

“Vespertine” (name of my Vespa Px150) rarely drove alone, mostly we were out together with Vespa clubs. The Vespaclub was initially a group of strangers, but over time they have grown into my heart like a family. Grateful and ready to give a little back, I am committed to the Vespa Club Bogotá with my professional communication studies. Carried by this passion, my path, like the Vespa: no reverse gear!
