Vespa conversion kit 8 inches to 10 inches

Convert Vespa 8 "to 10"

Anyone who is toying with the conversion of their Vespa, which was originally equipped with 8 inch tires, to the larger and more modern 10 inch size, quickly ponders which solution is the right one. Is it done quite quickly at the rear with the mere conversion of the brake drum including pads and dust protection plate (or the complete installation of a Motors the Vespa Sprint, Rally or PX), it is a bit more complicated on the front axle.

Here you have the choice between keeping everything optically and technically in the style of the original fork or converting it directly to another, more modern fork, for example the Vespa PK. The simplest method is to continue to use the original fork and to update it to the 10 inch standard with the parts of later models. The fitting Conversion set can be found in our shop.

All you have to do is change the front axle, the brake drum and the brake pads, including the dust cover. Both the spring and the shock absorber can be kept in their original design. With the conversion to ten inches, you have already gained valuable ground clearance, which makes the assembly of a racing exhaust really possible. Driving and braking dynamics are already worlds between 8 and 10 inches. The larger drums of the 10 inch brake are much more stable in terms of long-term load capacity (downhill pass) as well as in relation to the general braking performance.
