EEC approval mark

The EEC test mark is attached to components that, it may be hard to believe, have been approved on the basis of an EEC directive. Their approval is also not restricted nationally.
The number after the “e” indicates the country in which the vehicle was approved.

The EEC approval mark always consists of a square with a lowercase e, and the country code in the square, consisting of one or two digits (possibly also a country code for countries that do not have a country code) and a combination of digits behind the circle.
