Isle of Wight Rally

Andy the one for that Scooter Center is on the road with Generation XI and our bgm test bike in England, made his way from Glessen to the Isle of Wight Rally. A short summer road trip across Belgium and France. In France it went along the coast through Normandy to Cherbourg.

From here we took the ferry to Portsmouth, and from there we took the ferry to the Isle of Wight.

When they arrived on site, they first looked for a place on the camping site and first friendships were made.

Our bgm test bike was then extensively tested by the rally participants on site and the riders could clearly see the fun.

Our new bgm brochure was also very well received.

The International Scooter Custom Show was next on the program.

Our Generation XI should actually also be exhibited at the Custom Show. Unfortunately, during an extensive test drive, you had lost the side cover which could no longer be found. A solution then had to be found quickly. The maestro of the M. Pfeil paint gun who painted our demonstrator is based in Austria. Fortunately, Stoffi's garage was able to help us here and brought a matching Vespa side cover to the painter. Thanks to a group from Aachen, she made it to the island in time for the custom show.

Our demonstrator was a real eye-catcher. There were many compliments and astonished faces. And all the effort and the last-minute action with the side cover have paid off. We took first place in the “Best Vespa Street Racer” category. Balm for the soul when you see that our project is recognized throughout Europe.

From here, Andy first went back to mainland England and then made his way to Mersea Island via Wales. Here is a picture of our test bike at the castle of the Welsh capital Cardiff.

The Mersea Island Rally celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. Numerous visitors are expected and many, like Andy, come straight from the Isle of Wight. Parking space was found and it was first necessary to get an overview.

The weather is pleasant. No rain so far but a nice breeze. Something different and a really great location for a Classic Scooter Rally.
