Cologne - Milan - Gorizia - Ried - Cologne

On the ninth of July around 23 p.m. that happened Scooter Center set off to:

    • To visit Casa Lambretta,
  • to dispose of two rusted Lambretta mopeds,
  • pick up an SX 150 in Gorizia
  • and deliver a Vespa in Ried.

Cow 2.500 km later, we sat back in Cologne at 7 o'clock on Sunday morning and had a look back over the trip at a café.

The night of Friday the three of us drove relaxed across Switzerland. Finally in Italy, a quick breakfast in the car grill typical of the country. After a little stop & go in front of Milan, we were perfectly timed at Casa Lambretta. Julia and Ulf the Second were amazed at what Vittorio has in store. No wonder with around 1.000 own Casa Lambretta parts. At the same time, the order was quickly thrown into our transit and then off to Vittorios Museum. That should be in the new store in the meantime.
Despite the sweltering heat, high humidity and the weekend, Vittorio patiently showed us everything. And endured even the strangest questions from me. Fortunately for him, we were pressed for time and had to move on.

On the trip from Milan to Gorizia (towards the east coast), there was great excitement about how Julia's SX 150 would look there. As good as in the pictures, could that be !? And it was like that, almost flawless original condition, not tinkered with, firsthand. The two salespeople were also super nice. As more and more similarities emerged, things started to get scary. Exchanging contact details, issuing invitations and being told a few good stories.

In Austria there was also fried soup, schnitzel and a few shandy to strengthen. Quickly dispose of the Vespa, turn on the autopilot and off you go in Cologne to relax on the Rhine.
It was nice!
