Aachen rolling

Since 2009 there has finally been a regular meeting again in Aachen. Since the legendary meeting in AC-Eilendorf in the 90s, the scene in the border area had unfortunately fallen asleep a bit. Through an initiative of some Vespa drivers from Aachen and the surrounding area, the first meeting for a joint trip was set up through word of mouth, a flyer campaign and the support of the two scooter forums.

So they met on May 23, 2009 at the Vaals border and started the Mergelland route with around 50 scooter riders. the Mergelland route is a very beautiful circular route through the Dutch Limburg with a length of approx. 80 km.

With a long break in Maastricht, they then made their way back to Aachen. The stone was set in motion. The response to the trip was huge and so the rolling became a real event.

In 2010 the response was much greater and so the legendary Aachener became 3 country trip launched again. A 90km long tour through the Euregio (Belgium, Holland and Germany) started here. This time the route also attracted some scooter riders from all over North Rhine-Westphalia and so the Aachen roll-on became more and more popular.

In 2011, the level of awareness of rolling in Aachen had become so great that it was also due to the imperial weather 267 scooter drivers could count.

This time they drove the “Route des Vergers” (apple tree route) in Belgium. A wonderful route through the East Belgian cantons with approx. 110 km through beautiful old towns and winding country roads. A final barbecue was organized to promote cohesion even more.

This year the Aachen roll-up starts its fourth round. This time a reduced lap to 80km. A subsequent barbecue and a nighter in the evening are also on the program. Let's hope it will be just as great this time as it has been in recent years.

Conclusion: Absolutely not to be missed. Until Saturday.
