Although we feared the drop in temperature the week before #OpenDaySC, the sun shone all day and accompanied hundreds of petrol calls. It was a great day. As always, we met the #RealScooteristswho are part of this community. We were especially happy to see so many young people who are renewing the scene, and also old friends who Scooter Center for over 30 years.
In addition to our Open Day classics such as free use of the test bench and the large private and SC parts market, there were some other great program items and many new exhibitors.
SC program
Product development
Our product development opened its doors in the workshop to show projects and answer questions about bgm shock absorber and to present new products for the Vespa GTS etc. Most people particularly liked the fact that we are also working on a GTS drop handlebar that we want to offer with a TÜV certificate. This was not only about our own brand, but also about the latest developments such as the Egig Motor.
Merchandising stand
Thanks to the positive response, the SC merchandising stand and the photo booth have now become an integral part of the SC Open Days.
When it came to merchandise, our new #RealScooterist sticker and of course the limited Open Day T-shirts are in great demand. All other proceeds from merchandise sales go to “Halfway through the bar” to support scooter riders who have had accidents.
Greetings to Everell!
Photo box
At the nuclear Photo box Around 64 scooters and their drivers showed up. Most of them – as expected – were Vespas. Followed by 13 Piaggio mopeds, 7 automatics, 6 Lambrettas and 2 Royal Alloys. All of them will be presented in detail in the blog and the pictures will be available for download.
If your scooter has been photographed, don’t forget to send an email to marketing@scooter-center.com with your name, the type of scooter you have and anything you can tell us about it. We will send you back the email with the high resolution pictures.
Test stand
And here is the calm before the storm, as usual the test bench was crowded as we had a lot of early risers who immediately joined the queue. Over 50 runs in 6 hours made for ringing ears.
The most powerful scooter delivered Scooter clinic with his Runner 2T with over 50hp And this year defended Rene Klein the title of CIAO with more horsepower. Last year it was 10 hp and this year it is 11,4 hp.
Shopping at the parts market
If you love saving scooter parts, you can... Scooter Center Find quite interesting things in the parts market, even New Old Stock!
A highlight was undoubtedly the visit of Michael Zinnen, whose Vespas not only look good, but also do kilometers: A whole bunch came from Aachen to Scooter Center and we were able to get some of them in the photo booth in front of Niko's lens.
