On the last Saturday the last major ride for this season started. We were guests at the Vespanest Aachen Abrollern. They met at Blausteinsee near Eschweiler. The summer temperatures of 21 degrees attracted more than 200 Vespisti to the trip. From 12 p.m. the parking lot was already full and when it started at 13 p.m. the parking lot was full of scooters, drivers, visitors and spectators.
Here is a video from the start at Blausteinsee:
The route ran past the Inden opencast mine, on to Langerwehe and then via Schevenhütte and Gressenich to Stolberg, where a stop was made at an abandoned barracks hall. A well-stocked service car also took care of the first breakdowns that had been collected by the trailer. After 30 minutes of service, the failed drivers were able to drive the second half again.
After the break, we went back towards Blausteinsee via Würselen and Aldenhoven. When we arrived on site, we went to a nearby barbecue hut. Here you could end the day with grilled food and drinks and review the trip.
The ScooterCenter team says thank you for the successful event and is looking forward to it Vespanest scooter on May 11, 2013.
