Vespa 150GS 1955

1955 - Vespa 150GS 1955

The revolution with 4 gears and 10 inches

The Vespa GS 150 was a milestone in the history of the scooter, not just for Vespa, but for the entire industry. It went down in history as the most beautiful scooter ever made and is still a very popular model today. In the 50s the demand changed drastically and the Vespa became a status symbol for the younger generations. For the first time a model with a noiseless engine and at the same time unchanged strong performance was produced. Thanks to the direct experience of the Piaggio Racing Team, the Vespa 150 GS also had sporting references. The engine, with injectors directly connected to the cylinder and four-speed gearbox, had a longer and wider seat and massive wheels. The 150 GS model revolutionized the Vespa line: a prototype of this model is now in the Piaggio Museum.
