TAP - the military Vespa

In the 50s, the French Defense Minister ordered a vehicle from Piaggio intended for military use. This resulted in a very special Vespa of which only 1956 were made between 1959 and 600. The Vespa TAP was used by the Foreign Legion and the Parachute Jump Corps, was equipped with a 75mm pistol, had space for additional ammunition, two petrol cans and a small trailer. It was made in two colors: green and sand colors. Despite its weight of 115 kg, the Vespa TAP could reach a speed of 66 km / h and had a range of 200 km.
