The first Vespa four-wheeler

At the height of Vespa's success, Piaggio decided to venture into the world of vehicles on four wheels. Corradino D'Ascanio had long dreamed of designing the small Vespa 400, a car with a two-stroke rear engine. This was launched in 1957 and Piaggio produced a total of 3000 copies.
