The apple Vespa V50 Special

The Vespa 1969 Special, marketed from 50 onwards, was intended for a young target group and featured aesthetic innovations on the steering wheel, the front headlights (angular headlights) and the taillights. In 1969, with the same design as the 50 Special, the Vespa 50 Elestart was brought onto the market with an innovative technical novelty: the electric starter. Between 1969 and 1973 Piaggio launched one of their most famous advertising campaigns: “Chi Vespa mangia mela” (Who is wasp, eats apple) with which one wanted to refer to the success of the Vespa 50 Special.
