Vespa Dali 1962

1962 - Vespa Dali 1962

The artist Vespa

In the summer of 1962, one of the best Vespa models went on a trip with two students, Santiago Guillen and Antonio Veciana. The two young men met the master of surrealism Salvador Dalì, who was writing a contemporary chronicle; True to his reputation, he decided to decorate their Vespa in bizarre ways, signing it with his signature and that of his wife and muse Gala. In the summer of 1999, this Vespa was exhibited at the “Eurovespa” event in Girona (Spain) at the “The Art of Motorcycle” exhibition and then donated to the Piaggio Museum by Giovanni Alberto Agnelli.
