Vespa V98

In April 1946, the refreshingly new, functional and innovative vehicle for the mobility of the population was presented to the public for the first time in the noble Golf Club in Rome. On the leg shield, the new logo replaced the old Piaggio aircraft emblem. But that was certainly not the reason for the rapid success of the Vespa, which aroused great media interest and aroused both surprise, enthusiasm and skepticism in society. The first Vespa 98s were sold through a lean dealer network for 55.000 lire, the DeLuxe version cost 66.000 lire.
