Besides ours bgm catalog 2018 we have another piece of news for you. Our two bgm tuning parts for Lambretta are now available again: 225cc RT cylinder and the Lambretta Superstrong clutch.

In the development of the RaceTour cylinders Mark Broadhurst incorporated his decades of experience in the tuning of Lambretta scooters and over 1,700 tuned up 2-stroke cylinders. The bgm tuning cylinder for Lambretta are available with 195cc (Ø=65mm) for the small casings (125 – 175cc) as well as with 225cc (Ø=70mm) for the 200cc casings.

The cylinders offer significant improvements with respect to power and therefore ideal for daily use.

Power is supplied even at a low rev range and the kits offer enough torque which allow you to ride even with longer ratios. The power development is very constant which means that the Race Tour engines fell like a genuine Innocenti 200 engine but with double the power.
Like for the genuine cylinder, the carburettor is positioned at the left side. The frame or the other parts require no modifications. Therefore the RaceTour cylinder is also ideal for those who want to keep the Lamnretta look unchanged but, at the same time, don't want to forgo performance.

The kit is easy to fit and comes with all the needed studs, washers, gaskets and so on.
Update: Piston made in Italy by Meteor with running-in coating.

POWER
The plug & play clutch is fitted with soft clutch springs (BGM8010W) and is hence designed to withstand a power range of approximately 20HP / 25Nm. With reinforced springs, also available separately in our online shop, the power range of the clutch increases of over 40HP.

The springs are available in the following versions:

  • BGM8010W - soft (k = 4,7N / mm)
  • BGM8010L - medium (k = 6,8 / mm)
  • BGM8010F - hard (k = 13,8 / mm)

SCOOTERS

The bgm Pro Superstrong replaces the common clutch type used in all scooters of the Lambretta LI. The clutch therefore fits Lambretta LI, LI S, SX. TV (series 2-3), DL/GP models.

All CNC machined parts of the clutch are made of 42CrMo4.

The item includes:

  • CNC rear sprocket 46 or 47 teeth
  • CNC clutch spider
  • CNC pressure plate
  • Adapters to use the pressure plate with Li / SX and dl / GP engine cover
  • CNC machined top plate offset for more clearance between top plate and kickstart shaft
  • Six clutch discs
  • Five 1.5mm steel plates
  • Ten clutch springs, BGM8010W (k = 4.7N / mm, soft)
  • bgm PRO clutch bush

The clutch pressure plate and spider can be used with any other aftermarket 5 and 6 plate rear sprockets. As long as these are made to the original Innocenti measurements it is a straight fit. If not made to this spec some modifications might be needed.

TIP: We recommend to use a washer (available in our online shop) to space the clutch. The washer is placed under the sprocket and is available with a thickness of 0.8-1.6 mm. The overhang of the BGM hub (clutch spider) to the BGM sprocket is in the tolerance range from 0.10mm to 0.12mm.

Questi gruppi termici offrono una prestazione di gran lunga superiore, perfecti per un uso quotidiano e una guida piacevole.
La potenza è elevata già a un basso regime di giri e questi gruppi termici hanno abbastanza coppia also per rapporti allungati. L'aumento della potenza è molto costante e quindi i motori RaceTour si presentano come un original Innocenti da 200 ma con un potenza doppia.

Il carburatore, come per il gruppo termico originale, è posizionato sul lato sinistro. Non è necessaria alcuna modifica al telaio o né al carburatore. Pertanto il gruppo termico RaceTour è ideal per chi desidera lasciare immutato il design della Lambretta senza rinunciare alle ottime prestazioni.

La frizione, pronta per il montaggio e dotata di molle morbidi (cod.art.BGM8010W) è stata progettata per un intervallo di potenza fino a circa 20CV / 25Nm. Con le molle rinforzate, disponibili a parte nel nostro shop, l'intervallo di potenza della frizione aumenta fino a oltre 40CV. Sono disponibili i seguenti tipi di molle:

  • BGM8010W - morbido (k = 4.7N / mm)
  • BGM8010L - medio (k = 6.8 / mm)
  • BGM8010F - duro (k = 13.8 / mm)

VEICOLI

SUGGESTION:
Consigliamo di utilizzare also the rondella di rasamento per la frizione, available a parte nel nostro shop. It is a montata al di sotto della corona ed è disponibile con spessore da 0.8-1.6 mm. Per la sporgenza tra il mozzo del cestello interno della frizione BGM e la corona la tolleranza è compresa tra i 0.10mm a 0.12mm.

Mark Broadhurst has incorporated his experience from several decades of Lambretta tuning and over 1.700 tuned two-stroke cylinders into the development of the RaceTour cylinders. The cylinders offer significantly increased performance and thus more suitability for everyday use and driving fun.
The power is available relatively early in the rev range and the kits have enough torque to drive longer gear ratios. The power delivery is very even, so that RaceTour engines feel like an original Innocenti 200 engine but with twice the power.

Like the original cylinder, the carburetor is on the left-hand side. No changes need to be made to the frame or the add-on parts. This makes the RaceTour the ideal cylinder for everyone who doesn't want to change the look of their Lambretta, but still doesn't want to forego performance.
All required seals, stud bolts and small parts are included in the scope of delivery.
Update: Pistons now from Meteor (made in Italy) with run-in coating.

VEHICLES
The bgm Pro Superstrong replaces the conventional coupling type used in the entire Lambretta LI vehicle family. Thus suitable for Lambretta LI, LI S, SX. TV (series 2-3), DL / GP models.

All CNC machined parts of the coupling are made of 42CrMo4.

The scope of delivery includes:

  • CNC rear sprocket with either 46 or 47 teeth
  • CNC clutch spider
  • CNC pressure plate
  • Adapter to use the pressure plate with both Li / SX and dl / GP motor cover
  • CNC machined cover plate with shoulder to ensure sufficient air between the cover plate and the kick starter shaft
  • Six clutch discs
  • Five 1.5 mm steel discs
  • Ten clutch springs, BGM8010W (k = 4,7N / mm, soft)
  • bgm PRO coupling socket

The clutch pressure plate and spider can also be used with all other five- and six-plate clutch pinions. As long as the pinions are within the Innocenti tolerances, this fits without reworking the parts. With such combinations, the protrusion of the coupling spider in particular should be checked.

TIP:
 Also order the shim for spacing the coupling. This is installed under the clutch pinion and is available in thicknesses of 0,8-1,6 mm. The protrusion of the BGM hub (coupling spider) to the BGM pinion is in the tolerance range of 0,10mm to 0,12mm. A sufficiently large distance is set using thrust washers of various thicknesses. If the distance is too small, the clutch does not run freely.
