IDSM 2010

1st and 2nd run on 10/11.4.2010 April XNUMX in Templin

After visiting the Resin ring at the RH-Scooter Cup my new parts of Scooter Center and Sava had successfully tested, things got serious last weekend at the kart track in Templin. - The first race of the Int. German Scooter Championship (IDSM) 2010 was on!

Most of my driver colleagues had already taken the opportunity to train on the go-kart track on Friday. We still had to work on Friday, so we didn't arrive in Templin until the evening. Fortunately, we were able to do the registration and the technical inspection, as this is always quite hectic on Saturday mornings.

In free practice on Saturday morning, I had a fall on the third lap and, unfortunately, the subsequent repairs to my runner meant that I didn't have much time to drive and test. But it was still the two qualifying sessions
Left over. - so I thought! Unfortunately, the first qualifying session in the "water" was also a lot for me, as it started to rain shortly before and I couldn't get the rain tires fitted so shortly before the training session.
The second timed practice in the afternoon went all the better for me, with a dry track and sunshine I was able to get a very good 3rd place on the grid!

The warm-up and the first race on Sunday were a "wet race" because it kept raining during the night. Unfortunately, I fell again in the warm-up, which meant a lot of work before the first race.
In the race itself things went surprisingly well for me, I was able to maintain my position in 4th place for a long time and then crossed the finish line in 5th place. Since I can't get along very well in the rain anyway, I was very satisfied with this place.

The second race on Saturday afternoon was finally dry. So again mount the dry tires from Sava and off we went. I didn't get off to a great start - I lost two places. After the first two hectic laps I was able to break away from the field behind us together with Kevin Chadritziak # 2, and then we fought a tough but fair fight for 82rd place to the finish. Unfortunately, I lost a few meters to Kevin in the last lap due to a blue flag, so that in the end I crossed the finish line in fourth place, 3 seconds behind.
Overall, however, I am satisfied with the start of the season and positions 5 and 4.
Now I'm looking forward to the next IDSM run in Zielona Gora / Poland on 8/9. May.

Until then, bye!
Thomas
