Every journey is a potentialVespa trip“ And that can certainly not be any different in my home country. The Vespa scene in Colombia is simply fantastic!
After three and a half years I met again with my dear Vespa friends, the Vespa Club Bogota and my Vespa.
And just like in Germany, it's nice to see scooters on every corner.

Vespa friends

But I had to divide my short time wisely between my hobby and my family, so I'm with our 2T environmental movement© “Mi Heart late in 2 Tiempos” (My heart beats in 2 beats) called for a trip to meet as many Vespa friends as possible.

Exit to Boyacá

Nevertheless, I almost thought I would bump into “another Vespa scene in Colombia” at the meeting point. I was really surprised what has happened in almost 4 years.
In general, clubs in Colombia have reduced their activities during the pandemic and I have a lot of new faces,"new blood” seen with modern Vespas.

The distances in Colombia are very different than in Germany, our casual trip took 12 hours and was only 258km long. Geography, thousands of ways to make a stop, plus the thousands of other "breakdowns" that can occur with our vintage Vespas all play a big part.

Especially in a country where spare parts are an ocean away, although one of our official dealers: Super Motori solved it very well and I delivered merchandising to them and we raffled off vouchers.

My Colombian Vespas: Vespertine & La Pelada

It's time to get my Vepas in order:

So my collection, distributed in boxes and such, has now found a nice place, unfortunately still in Colombia. All my Vespa treasures didn't fit in the suitcase :( Same story with my half half Vespa.

The story is different with my “running Vespas”, the “golden years” of the “Vespertine” are over, and “La Pelada”, my Rusty/Rat project, is getting a little more rust every day, but the important thing is that I can drive them and this is what happened after @Migue's lovely care.

Of course, this resulted in some small adjustments that I had to fix with some “temporary” fixes along the way.

Hello Colombia!

I will miss you as I have always missed you.

Here you can read more about my story in Germany with the dreamPlatonica read

All you need - warehouse

Hello, my name is Maryzabel!

I am a trainee at Scooter Center. I come from Colombia and take you on my big and small adventures in the blog, take a look behind the scenes with you Scooter Center and take you to scooter meetings.

2. My first week

In my first week as a trainee, I got to know the details of the process from ordering to goods registration in the respective departments. Scooter Center not only markets its own brands like: BGM and Moto Nostra, but also more than 300 brands such as: Malossi, Polini, Pinasco, Piaggio and other major brands and manufacturers of scooter parts.

My tasks were to reorder products with modern IT systems depending on the inventory and demand. The receipt of goods, the addition of new products to the system and also the packaging and storage. With so many different parts I've had to deal with, how can so many parts fit on our little scooter?

From the base like Cylinder and carburettor from bearings, seals to all body parts such as entire frame sets or side panels and fenders, all the smallest screws, washers, nuts, split pins up to the accessories, original, restoration, tuning, customizing. Madness what it's all im Scooter Center Warehouse and in Scootershop gives.

Sooner or later, we scooter drivers come into contact with the parts on our scooter. Either planned and “just” for fun: Customizing or tuning, but if it goes stupid with a breakdown, in the middle of the country road. Good to know that you are with the Scooter Center have a partner who can help you quickly and cheaply with the necessary parts and service.

ALL YOU NEED

What I know is that so many parts are enough to fill meters, square meters and cubic meters of this huge warehouse over 3 floors and to fill the online shop with tons of data via a modern IT system.

What I also know for sure is that I can build a great Vespa from scratch with the parts from the Scooter Center Be able to build camps. I could build my dream scooter without worry, because in addition to the parts, operating instructions and all the necessary tools are available directly from stock.

I can assure you and have seen it myself. The Scooter slogan applies perfectly: ALL YOU NEED

1. About me:

I've been a scooter for a third of my life; I come from Colombia, a country where Vespas are rare but highly valued. I started the Vespa adventure without knowing what to expect. But I was determined to find not only a design and custom object in the Vespa, but also a means of transport.

“Vespertine” (name of my Vespa Px150) rarely drove alone, mostly we were out together with Vespa clubs. The Vespaclub was initially a group of strangers, but over time they have grown into my heart like a family. At the Vespa Club Bogotá I was able to experience a lively exchange of knowledge, anecdotes and shared adventures.
Grateful and ready to give a little back, I am committed to the Vespa Club Bogotá with my professional communication studies. Carried by this passion, my path, like the Vespa: no reverse gear! So I finally became president, national and international interlocutor, co-founder of the movement: “My heart beats in 2 bars” and am currently an honorary member.

Thanks to the Vespa meetings, I got to know incredible people and places

Soon the routes began to expand! When I heard about the beautiful wonders of the world from travelers, I was inspired to go and see them for myself. From South America to European countries, always with the aim of attending the scooter meetings.
