Switch scooter meeting Vesbeachi 2021 Sponsored by Scooter-Center

Successful premiere of Vesbeachi

On October 09.10.2021th, 10 the gates opened for the premiere of the vesbeachi, the brand-open metal roller meeting on the beach of the beach club Nethen.

VESBEACHI 2021 - The brand-open metal roller meeting on the beach - Aftermovie

And early on, the beach filled with tin scooter enthusiasts and their companions.
The visitors came from all over Germany, even a visitor from Denmark came to see this spectacle.
The mood was relaxed, the weather couldn't have been better and the gasoline conversations to the fine tones of soul music from the record player were lively.
No wonder, because the scene had some catching up to do; no event of this kind could take place for almost two years. Lots of time to screw things around, but little personal exchange. This was made up for at Vesbeachi.
The trophy ceremony took place at around 15 p.m., awards were given in the following categories:
Best Smallframe, Best Largeframe, longest journey on a two-wheeler and best of the day.
The cup for Best Smallframe went to a completely modified Simson Star in Iron Man design with lots of gold-plated details.
Best Largeframe a visitor from the Vespa Club Hannover was able to secure his Vespa 150 (VBB).
Visitor Philipp completed the longest journey on two wheels Bad Oldesloe on his Vespa PX
and the somewhat out of competition price best of the day Hamburg-based Marek Nachlik secured himself for his Lambretta conversion with a Kawasaki engine.

At the end of the day were more than 500 visitors traveled to Vesbeachi and thus contributed to a wonderful event.
The mood was unbroken in the best sunshine and one thing is already certain, that Vesbeachi Blechrollertreffen will definitely go into the next edition in 2022.
Text, video and pictures were made available to us by the organizer. Many thanks to Jelto Gerdes

LTH Race 19.06.2021 Liedolsheim - Blechvespen on Fire

Scooter racing, event support and racing teams has im Scooter Center a long tradition! That's how it is Scooter Center zusammen mit bgm again this year sponsor of European Scooter Challenge (ESC).

On the weekend of June 19.06.2021, XNUMX that was possible first ESC race of this year's season, under strict CORONA conditions. Despite a complex organization, the LTH ESC team managed to make the race possible for the participants.

Powered by Scooter Center & bgm

The weather forecast suggested something good and so the first participants arrived on the legendary area of the kart track in Liedolsheim on Thursday evening. We remember the legendary “RUN & RACE” events in Liedolsheim only too well.

The new classes K7 (moped) and K8 (pit bike) were very well received and we were able to welcome many new faces.

Training on Friday

Despite temperatures around 38 degrees, many did not miss it on Friday and trained throughout the day on the route reserved for us.

You could already see on Friday that the machine, tires and driver were suffering from the hot temperatures. Nevertheless, the drivers' meeting started on Saturday morning at 08:30 a.m., highly motivated.

After training and qualification, the races started after the lunch break at 13 p.m.

Raceday on Saturday

The start was in 4 groups, whereby several classes were combined:

The new classes K7 and K8 started together
and K3 + K6 and the strongest classes Q1 + Q2 + Q4.

The K5 got its own group with an outstanding number of 19 participants.

Simson mopeds from Thuringia

Two participants in the K8 even took the long way from Thuringia on to get on with your Simson mopeds to start. The machines also aroused great interest among Vespa drivers and many "petrol talks" were held.

New participants "Rookies"

We were especially happy about two rookies again.

Julian started with his newly built Vespa in K1. However, he's been on the track for a long time and is still starting in the K8 as a double starter with his moped.

In addition, No. 599 tried its hand at Michi in the very strong field of the K5. Despite a few small falls, he held up bravely and even received the trophy for “Best Rookie”.

Old hands on their own

After a long period of abstinence, two old hands mingled with the participants again.

Falcon started with his PX, which was already there in the first ESC races in the 2000s. Unfortunately, in the first race, after a technical defect and a spectacular highsider, he had to give up the "old" women.

Veit drove with his tested and approved PK on Saturday morning from Stuttgart to Liedolsheim to take part in the race after his warm-up ride with the "bullet". The scooter survived all three races with flying colors and Veit was able to drive home on his own two wheels on Sunday. What an achievement!

Racing at its finest

In the open K1 and limited K4 Smallframe Classes it came back to racing at its best. The four-way battle of the last few years between Achim, Robert, Albert and Marco was enriched in Liedolsheim by the K1 newcomer Valentino Randazzo. These delivered gripping position changes at the top. In the end, Albert had the most physical and driving reserves and secured three impressive race victories. The fastest lap time of last year was clearly undercut again with 52,39s and is now on the level of the old top class K2.

Fastest lap with a moped

Julian Bartsch achieved the fastest time of the day with his 25PS moped with a 52,37s, which shows that there are hardly any differences in speed between the mopeds, pit bikes and scooters among the top drivers and that they work well together.

Hidden Power Scooter Club also let an era end :-(

Yesterday I took a quick look to see if the calendar was already showing April 1st: First the end of the previous one Holiday in Holland - Venlo - proclaimed and then later the end of Holiday ahem holidays in the Sauerland:

Hello friends of the holidays in the Sauerland!

Certainly some have already wondered why no flyers are yet being distributed, topics are being created, or the Tage can be counted down until the rally. There is a simple reason for this - the days of the FIS, in its current form, are numbered.

FIS will not take place in 2017!

We as a club discussed long and hard with each other, and in the end we made this decision with one laughing and one crying eye. The vote was close, but is as it is.

We were proud and happy to fill the biggest rally in our scene with life over the years.

That this is a tough job, you could certainly see us on the weekends.

But this burden was not only on our shoulders, we also had great helpers from friends, family and friendly clubs.

For all these years of selfless help at this point, once again a huge THANK YOU!

Now you can rent a site, put the whole Driss like test bench, etc. on it, and then it doesn't necessarily have to be a good meeting.

Our horny guests were the salt of the earth!

Indestructible, in a good mood, hard-drinking, crazy about dancing, the most cracked ones already at the start on Thursday, it has always been a pleasure with you!

Thanks for that.

FIS 2017 will not take place, that does not mean that we will not resume the format in a modified way in the future.

Let yourself be surprised, you will find out soon enough

It was an honor for us to offer you a space where you could get to know each other, and also to meet scooterists from more distant areas.

Thank you for the nice years, great encounters, pictures in your head, good conversations and tons of laughs!

Run & Race 2016, Pomposa, Italy - September 16-18.09.2016, XNUMX

That was last weekend Scooter Center drove to the Adriatic coast for the Run & Race finals of the European Scooter Challenge. Thanks to the participation of the British Scooter Sport Organization (BSSO) and several other international drivers, the spectators are offered a good spectacle on the kart track.

With the Lambretta to the Adriatic

Sounds like a vacation, but the vacation is long gone. We had 3.000 kilometers and a few days of hard work in Bella Italia ahead of us. Our bus was packed with equipment and our best bgm parts for that Run & Race Italy

The journey started on Thursday in Cologne. After 1.000 km from Lake Garda, on Friday we drove the remaining 250 km to Pomposa on the Adriatic Sea with the scooters. So on Friday it is time to leave early and the tour group splits up into a tour guide and an escort vehicle. The tour guide is done by two Race Tour Lambrettas with 28 Polini carburetors and the bgm big box:

  1. Lambretta DL 150 with 225 bgm PRO RaceTour
  2. Lambretta LI 150 1st series 195 bgm PRO RaceTour

Lambretta DL & LI

Tough test drive in the rain and pothole slalom

Test drive in Bella Italia: summer, blue skies and every now and then a stop at the car grill. That's the plan! Half an hour after the start, reality overtakes our wishful thinking. After the motorway tunnel in Verona we drive into the pouring rain. Fortunately, there is no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing - and we had plenty of that with us!

But nothing helps and until shortly before Pomposa we continue on the Autostrada in the rain.
Fortunately, we did not notice the violent storm directly. Several cars in guard rails and trenches, but give an impression of what must have been going on shortly before us.

Ride a scooter in the rain

Despite the capricious weather conditions and potholes, we are quite brisk. The cruising speed with the motors is around 110 km / h (GPS). The new TomTom Vio shows us the way. Both the bgm motors and the bgm chassis keep what is promised and the journey is quick and easy. The bottom line is a great tour that is a lot of fun.

Big Run & Race in Italy

As the rain stops a bit before Pomposa and the thick cloud cover tears up, we luckily do not arrive completely drenched. The welcome from Rimini Lambretta Centers Marco and the organizers of SIR is warm as usual. After the first cups of white wine, we first move into our luxurious bungalow.

Our luxury bungalow

There will be a 'menu' on both evenings. To be honest, we imagined it to be quite different in Italy ... Both evenings will be quite long for Philipp thanks to the super nighters.

The breakfast on Saturday morning is great, unfortunately we don't have much time because the stand needs to be set up and we are excited to see what awaits us. Breakfast by the sea in the best weather.

run-race-italy-2016_-18

Thanks to our routine, setting up our stand is quite easy for us - at least for those who were sober in bed before 5 a.m.
Accompanied by the incessant howling of sophisticated scooter motors, we present our bgm product range throughout the day and have many great conversations with old and new friends from:

  • Italy
  • Switzerland
  • Germany
  • Austria
  • Greece
  • England
  • Cyprus

Our photos from the weekend

RACE - The races

The exciting races take place directly across the street, where fierce battles were held down to the last meter. The Italian teams from CASA Performance and Parmakit dominate the big classes here - LINK bgm TEILE RENNTEAM. Our Austrian friend Stoffi impressively wins the standard class with the Polini engine -> LINK Shop standard class. Michi from the Stoffi team, we hang our camera around - this is what a one-class training session looks like:

RUN - the scooter meeting

Run & Race - there is also a scooter run during the race. The Italian clubs have stands on the grounds of the racetrack and you can buy parts or merchandise, marvel at scooters and talk about petrol everywhere.
The evening events take place on a camping and bungalow park where all participants were accommodated. The announced concert on Saturday is unfortunately canceled, the Open Air Nighter boiled over until the police arrive. The event is spontaneously moved inside and, if the mood is even better, the party will continue until the early hours of the morning.
After an Italian breakfast on Sunday morning, saying goodbye is difficult! But this time the 250 km return journey lies ahead of us in the most beautiful sunshine. For the last part we leave the motorway and take a scenic route through the hinterland and mountains. We reach our base camp on Lake Garda in a good mood. We still had a lot to do here:

  • Photoshoot Kerresinhio Quartet
  • Visit to the piston manufacturer Meteor in Milan
  • Photos & videos

img_1322Stockach 2009

On the weekend of Pentecost, the annual first was again in Stockach (Bavaria / Bodensee) Quartermile - run to the DBM.

We were there with a few friends and after two night shifts we were in good spirits not to come back without empty hands. After 540km there was finally well-deserved: grilled meat and cold beer in addition the usual gasoline conversations. On the next nighter we swung a little bit of the dance floor but not for too long because we wanted to be fit.

The next day we had to drive about 20 minutes from the Rungelände to get to the track in an industrial area.

There were already numerous spectators and participants there, so was the new one Vespa catalog and Lambretta catalog out of stock quickly.

To our astonishment, there were really a lot of spectators from the region and afterwards there were even more than 1.000 people in total.
