The new bgm hoses have been specially developed according to our specifications for the needs of classic scooters. The tuning measures and, accordingly, the performance development has skyrocketed here in recent years. There are modern disc brakes and a great chassis with the bgm shock absorbers. When it comes to tires, we scooter drivers mostly benefit from the development of new motorcycle tires, the innovations here are transferred to the small tire sizes. But nothing has changed with the hose for decades. We have now changed that:

Our hoses are specially manufactured for the requirements of the Vespa and Lambretta:
There is a model with a classic 90 ° valve position for Vespa and Co. and a special hose with a perfect 45 ° valve position for Lambretta. The valves are vulcanized in this model-specific position. The butyl content is over 50%, that's what she does extremely airtight and absolutely reliable. The high butyl content makes the hose expensive to manufacture, but in our opinion the result justifies the effort.

For the detail lover, we not only paid attention to the safety-relevant, correct angle of the valve position with the valve of the lambretta hose, but also to the metal valve cap with combined valve extractor. Just like it was with the old Lambrettas back then.
High quality and perfect fit
Hoses with a lower butyl content have more flexibility due to a larger rubber content and thus serve a larger range of possible tire sizes (up to 130 / 90-10). A major disadvantage, however, is poor airtightness. In favor of the better product quality, we therefore decided on a high butyl content and thus on a supported tire size of up to 100 / 90-10. For your security!
Despite the perfect fit for the Vespa rims: The Vespa is also known as the mother of all motor scooters. Often copied and never matched. This has one advantage: The bgm Vespa hoses are iCan be used in many other vehicles with ten inch tubular tires.
Assembly tips
When assembling the tires on the bead insert with assembly paste and the Dust the inside of the tire with talc. The assembly paste ensures the correct end position of the tire while the talcum minimizes the friction of the tube.
This maximizes the safety and service life of the hose!
Tire mounting paste not only enables easier mounting of the tire on the rim, it also ensures that the tire slips into its correct end position. If a tire is mounted 'dry', it can happen that it does not lie cleanly on the rim everywhere and therefore runs very unevenly.

Talcum powder is an indispensable aid when fitting tires that are provided with a tube. If there is no talc, the hoses tend to stick to the tire. This can lead to a premature defect in the valve area, as the flexing movement of the tire means that the tube cannot move independently of the tire.
