Last weekend the 3-hour long-distance race took place on the GP track at the Nürburgring for the third time.

As usual, we arrived on Saturday evening to have a leisurely barbecue, talk about gasoline and carry out final tests and approvals on the scooter. Everyone was in good spirits with the sunshine and mild temperatures.

There were 53 starters from Germany, England and Switzerland registered, so a very mixed field, which made the Le Mans start exciting. Unfortunately, the weather gods didn't mean it so well with us again. It rained heavily most of the time, both in practice and in the one-hour race that followed. The one who did well beforehand Rain tires mounted, which was a huge advantage. But even without the appropriate tires it was fun, because arriving safely was the top priority! Unfortunately there were also some failures. Of over 50 starters, only about 30 crossed the finish line.

Alex took 1st place in the fun class, Torsten took 6th place Klet 2 (Setup Alex: Polini EVO, Ludwig & Scherer exhaust, bgm crankshaft, Keihin carburetor - Setup Torsten: identical except for Cylinder Parmakit W-force).

Thanks to the DART Racing Team (for the nightly screwdriver help), the girls for the food and of course that SCOOTER CENTER for supporting our racing team!

Scooter race at the Nürburgring Reinoldus Langstrecken Cup

The time has come, the 3rd Int. Switching scooter cup Nürburgring starts next Saturday, May 15th, 2011!
The SCOOTER CENTER supports the event again and is sponsor of the Vespa and Lambretta races on THE racetrack at all ...

After the successful start and a celebrated repetition last year, this year will be another real race hazards.

THE LONG DISTANCE RACE!

1 × 15 minute training and then a 1st hour race. It is driven through. Pit stops are welcome and necessary, but not mandatory.

The Start
It'll be one again Le Mans start give. This means that the scooters are “parked” slightly offset at the start and finish straight on the side or held by helpers. The racing drivers stand on the opposite side of the track. Starting shot - start running - sit up - start ……… .drive - plan a pit stop - continue - the fastest wins …….

And very important: THE FOCUS IS ON FUN More information also in the GSF

Rain battle in Austria
"DART Racing Team" takes 12th place in the 8-hour race in Austria

In St. Veit an der Glan / Carinthia, the "Spring Race" took place for the second time on the ÖAMTC test track. Since the race this year was supposed to be four weeks later than last year, we had been looking forward to pleasant spring temperatures - a mistake, as it turned out to be.

With rain and temperatures around 8 degrees, everyone started in the morning 40 registered racing teams punctually at 7.00 a.m. The interplay between wet and dry stages lasted all day. Fortunately, we had good rain tires for racing (Sava "Monsun Racing Soft"), which made driving much safer even in the wet. The four tire changes between dry and rain tires have paid off, a higher number of laps has brought us so far forward!

Smaller failures such as the vibration of plugs and the Flywheel unfortunately took us valuable time. Nevertheless, we could as third best German team with our 22 PS Polini Cast iron engine with 33 Keihin and "Franz" exhaust an very gratifying 8th place drive in!

We would like to thank our sponsors very much

Final - RH-Scooter Cup 2010 at the Harzring

Last weekend the final took place on RH-Scooter Cup 2010 on the Harzring instead.

Since the run at the Intermot in Cologne was canceled at short notice, I came to the Harzring with a 35 point lead as the table leader. Unfortunately, the last time I was out there 3 weeks ago Variomatik and the converter broke so I had to use a different one for this race. I didn't manage to set up the training so well in the short period of time, and that's why I was there Place 3 fully satisfied in qualifying.
The two races in the afternoon were almost the same for me. After a modest start (6th place each after the first lap), I was able to gradually overtake my competition and open both races Place 2 break up!
In the evening there was a humid final party with a championship ceremony that went well into the morning.
This race was the last of the year after a long season.

With a total of 2 victories and 4 second placesn in the 2 / 70ccm class this year I have the Won the 2010 RH-Scooter Cup.

During the IDSM/EST I was able to celebrate some successes in 2010:

  1. With 2nd place in Dahlem,
  2. 3rd place on the Sachsenring
  3. and various 4 and 5 places
  4. I reached the 7th place in the annual ranking. (here I was only able to take part in 6 out of 8 events)

Finally, I would like to thank all sponsors and helpers. I especially want to be with the Scooter Center thank you for the great support! Without your help, these results would not have been possible. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!

Your
Thomas Heck

Sponsored by SCOOTER CENTER:

The 6. Challenge Scootentole Vespa and Lambretta - races in Magny Cours was a huge success.
The Cahllenge Scootentole is the largest racing event for scooters in France and therefore involves a lot of organizational effort - but our friends from the Scootentole team did a great job!
This year 100 drivers took part in the race for classic scooters (Vespa & Lambretta), which is an increase of 20% compared to the previous year. The starting field was well filled internationally. There were even participants from Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Belgium!

The open class 1 in particular was in great demand, in the so-called tourist class, newcomers could get a taste of racing or scrape the tight curves of the kart track in Magny Cours with their vintage cars under racing conditions.

A highlight was the visit to the local Vespa Club “Vespa Club de Fourchambault”. They enriched the meeting with a great selection of beautiful Vespa scooters.

On a great late summer's day there was no boredom, one race followed another and the battles on the racetrack were very exciting.

Despite spectacular accidents and stunts by some pilots, there were no notable injuries thanks to the respectful and sporty behavior of the drivers.

Here are the results and some impressions from Magni Cours. You can find many more photos here: http://www.michel-lemarie.fr or in the Scootentole forum: http://www.scootentole.org

Last week the Eurochallenge 2010 took place in Hungary (Panoniaring)!

The program included: free driving on the kart track on Friday and Sunday, ESC runs on Saturday and a 4-hour race on Sunday. Those who still didn't have enough could do 3 times 20 minutes on the GP track on Monday!

All in all, a tight program - we haven't left anything out.

25.7. Resin ring

Last Sunday the second of four events of the RH-Scooter Cup 2010 took place on the Harzring in great weather.

Since I have an Easter at the first event of the cup 1st and 2nd place, I wanted to place myself in the top 3 this time too! This time a different route variant was driven, which was a lot of fun.

The morning training was due to new parts Scooter Center and the Sava tires very good. I was able to do it with exactly 7/100 sec. Behind Philip Hasemann secure starting position 2 of 17 drivers!

10 / 11.7. Dahlemer Binz

First place on the podium in the IDSM !!!

Last weekend the IDSM was a guest in the Eifel at the Dahlemer Binz go-kart track.

This track was added to the program of the racing series for the first time this year and was therefore new for all drivers!

An early arrival to the kart track was planned to get to know the track on Friday evening. However, some major traffic jams on the motorway meant that we didn't get there until around 19 p.m. and unfortunately no driving was possible. A planned visit to the scooter center also got into the water due to the traffic jam. L Well, it will definitely work this year.

Scootentool

5th Challenge Scooter Tole

Circuit de Mirecourt, 13.-16. May 2010

On to 5th Scootentole Challenge, this is a racing event for classic Vespa and Lambretta scootersorganized by the French forum "scootentole.org".
Up to now we had only heard of the three ice saints once, but what exactly they could mean, we should find out this weekend ...

Than SCOOTER CENTER Team Thursday morning direction France set out, the weather forecast was rather mediocre as the temperatures were very cold. After a 5 hour drive we reached the shortly after Nancy beautiful kart track in Mirecourt. After a short waiting time - until the supermotor drivers had cleared the space - we set up the SCK stand with our mobile dynamometer. thanks to MOTOREX tent and gas burner was the first evening of the ice saints with 5 degrees outside temperature fortunately to endure.

Free driving was on the program on Friday. With an entry fee of just 14 euros from 12:00 to 19:00, this is a very attractive price for anyone who wants to train or simply drive on a racetrack.

Our on-site test stand was regularly used by various scooter drivers with their Vespa or Lambretta scooters to look for or find lost horsepower. ;O)
At our SCK stand, too, there was always a good rush of those who - despite the winter-like outside temperatures - attended the event. In addition to spare parts for the racing scooters, they were the most sought-after items Vespa bags and our new ones Fastback racing seats for the Vespa.

Thanks to the high number of German and Austrian riders taking part in the actual race on Saturday in 3 different categories, it was possible to speak of a success of this “Scootentole” event. The smooth running on all days, the very good hygienic conditions, free electricity and a lot of nice people resulted in a cold but nonetheless perfect racing weekend.

NEXT year again - hopefully not on the three ice saints! ;O)

Zielona Gora - Poland IDSM 2010

On 9/10 On May 2nd, the second race at the IDSM in Zielona Gora took place.

Since the slope in Poland is one of the top IDSM routes, I was allowed to 650Km How to get there is of course not missing. The event was again well organized and apart from the power outages in the nights there was nothing to criticize.

On Saturday, after 2 hours of free practice, the two timed practice sessions were due, as always. In the 1st Qualli my engine was unfortunately still a bit too sluggish and with Place 7 I wasn't entirely satisfied either. In the second training it was much better. with Place 4 of 19 starters I still secured a place in the front row!

On Saturday evening we met comfortably by the campfire with a beer and "gasoline talk" - before we went to bed.

After the warm-up on Sunday morning, the first race in the 12 inch class was on the program. I got off to a great start and came second through the first corners. Unfortunately, I couldn't keep this place for long and crossed the finish line in fifth place after a lonely race. Kevin Chadrysiak won ahead of Max Moutschka.

In the second race, I'm up from the start Place 4 drove and then had Philipp Winkel (champion 180ccm 2009) close behind me for the entire race. On the penultimate lap, my rear wheel suddenly slipped in a fast corner and I fell. Since Philipp was only a few centimeters behind me, he could no longer evade and also had to go to the ground. Luckily we both could continue and I am up behind Philipp Place 5 got to the goal.

All in all, I was satisfied with the race weekend and after a long drive home (back home at 0am) I went back to work on Monday morning at 6.30am!

Now there are a few weeks until the next race to replace the defective fairing and some other parts. The next racing weekend will take place on June 19th / 20.6th. on the go-kart track in Wittgenborn.

IDSM 2010

1st and 2nd run on 10/11.4.2010 April XNUMX in Templin

After visiting the Resin ring at the RH-Scooter Cup my new parts of Scooter Center and Sava had successfully tested, things got serious last weekend at the kart track in Templin. - The first race of the Int. German Scooter Championship (IDSM) 2010 was on!

Most of my driver colleagues had already taken the opportunity to train on the go-kart track on Friday. We still had to work on Friday, so we didn't arrive in Templin until the evening. Fortunately, we were able to do the registration and the technical inspection, as this is always quite hectic on Saturday mornings.

003RH Scooter Cup 2009 12./13.9.2009 Nordholz airfield race

In the middle of September we had the second of three events of the new one
RH Scooter Cup on the program. This run was held at the airport in Nordholz / Wanhöden. Since I won the first race at the two-stroke meeting in Luneort, I couldn't be absent here, of course.

This event does not belong to the IDSM, and therefore I decided to drive this race with my weaker reserve engine. (The engine must also be used once)
I wanted to save my “good” engine for the Sachsenring (14 days later).
