5th Challenge Scooter Tole
Circuit de Mirecourt, 13.-16. May 2010
On to 5th Scootentole Challenge, this is a racing event for classic Vespa and Lambretta scootersorganized by the French forum "scootentole.org".
Up to now we had only heard of the three ice saints once, but what exactly they could mean, we should find out this weekend ...
Than SCOOTER CENTER Team Thursday morning direction France set out, the weather forecast was rather mediocre as the temperatures were very cold. After a 5 hour drive we reached the shortly after Nancy beautiful kart track in Mirecourt. After a short waiting time - until the supermotor drivers had cleared the space - we set up the SCK stand with our mobile dynamometer. thanks to MOTOREX tent and gas burner was the first evening of the ice saints with 5 degrees outside temperature fortunately to endure.
Free driving was on the program on Friday. With an entry fee of just 14 euros from 12:00 to 19:00, this is a very attractive price for anyone who wants to train or simply drive on a racetrack.
Our on-site test stand was regularly used by various scooter drivers with their Vespa or Lambretta scooters to look for or find lost horsepower. ;O)
At our SCK stand, too, there was always a good rush of those who - despite the winter-like outside temperatures - attended the event. In addition to spare parts for the racing scooters, they were the most sought-after items Vespa bags and our new ones Fastback racing seats for the Vespa.
Thanks to the high number of German and Austrian riders taking part in the actual race on Saturday in 3 different categories, it was possible to speak of a success of this “Scootentole” event. The smooth running on all days, the very good hygienic conditions, free electricity and a lot of nice people resulted in a cold but nonetheless perfect racing weekend.
NEXT year again - hopefully not on the three ice saints! ;O)

Season opening in Munich
-Sponsored by SCOOTER CENTER-
Am Sunday April 18, 2010 the season opening takes place - the traditional roll-on of the Munich Vespa and Lambretta community.
The starting point is the classic car meeting at the Spring Festival on Theresienwiese.
We went to the weekend Custom show in Ried.
After 700km we were warmly welcomed by Stoffi and his team.
First we visited the location. A great, huge exhibition hall with lots of scooters on Friday evening. After that we set up our entire stand.
Slightly exhausted from the stressful day, we finally made it to the hotel. After the typically hearty, alpine food, somehow and someone at our table got their hands on a card game ...

The Lambretta Handbook
That which is known and essential to all of us Lambretta scooter reference book is currently being completely redesigned by Martin 'Sticky' Round.
The Second Edition is also dedicated to the Lambrettas of series 1 (not TV 175 I) and the models of series 2. They will be completely integrated into the manual and the chapters will have the models logically integrated.
All chapters are massively revised, re-layouted and five years of technical updates and additional information are integrated.
The old edition is unfortunately completely out of stock and the reprint is not planned. So from now on only leaf through the sticky with clean fingers!
The “best Lambretta manual” even better!
The first issue of Sticky manual was published in 2004. Series 3 was dealt with in detail with lots of pictures and practical tips. A total of around 15.000 copies were sold.
Instead of simply reprinting the book, Fingers in Pies Publications decided to revise the book substantially and to expand the content to series 1 and 2. Sticky 2 offers you:
- More than 200 new color photos. Over 1.050 images in total.
- Additionally ten colored circuit diagrams.
- Five other Italian models (TV175 S2, LI125 S1, LI125 S2, LI150 S1, LI150 S2).
- The information about the new models has been carefully incorporated into the context. Not just clapped in!
- Updates on the latest developments in the areas of tuning conversions, adjustable chassis, variable ignitions, tubeless rims and much more.
- More anorack details and restoration tips (fork type identification, color code breakdown, locks and keys, speedometer and more).
- Information on technical changes based on the original Innocenti dealer updates.
- Improved index and easy-to-find chapters using color codes.
- Completely redesigned layout.
- 56 additional pages (292 in total).

The SCOOTER CENTER was at the 1st Italian Customshow in Riva on Lake Garda.
“Gardasee” sounds great - but unfortunately we only saw the lake when we drove past on arrival and departure. But the long way and the work were worth it.
The custom show took place together with the “Motorissma” car and motorcycle fair and had its own large hall. What is new and unusual for a custom show is that the show lasted 2 days. Around 60 customizers exhibited their Lambretta and Vespa scooters. Incidentally, the proportion and quality of the Lambrettas was clearly superior here.
On November 14.11.2009th, XNUMX the time has come again:

The SCOOTER CENTER Team was in Magny Cours Vespa & Lambretta races of the great French forum sootentole.org
In fine weather we enjoyed the hospitality of our French friends. And we also worked ;-)
The pictures are there here.
Especially spectacular at Max Speed Festival was the appearance of the Italian team from Berghem. And not only because of the Sprint Lambrettas, but above all because of the cool and deeply relaxed drivers.
Sauro 'Tiranno' Roncelli, Francesco 'Magher' Mazzoleni, Fabrizio 'Nonna Vittoria' Gotti and Marco 'Zio Mario' Cortinovis have many new friends and admirers in Germany. According to her 800 km drive from the vicinity of Milan, they took a relaxed approach to the mornings and mornings and dealt with the technical acceptance (purely a matter of form) and the course of the racing event. After all, the first time she's a stretch longer than that 150 meters usual in Italy have driven.
