The organization of the Vespa World Days

Vespa World Days is an event organized by Piaggio which takes place yearly in a different country. The country or the local club submits to the Vespa World Club an application for the organization of the event. For 2017 the Vespa Club Celle was nominated as organizer of the event.

The Vespa World Club is composed, for one half, of Piaggio employees, while the other half is represented by the appointed members of the national clubs.

The Vespa World Club appointed the German Vespa Club for the organization of the VWD 2017 and this, in turn, appointed the Vespa Club Celle.

Vespa World Days: the great international rally

Would you like to join the greatest Vespa rally? You can participate as registered visitor and get lots of services or join with free entrance as daily visitor. Daily visitors are also welcome and can visit the entire event area with many spare part booths and exhibitions. You can even join the whirl of Vespas. The events in the evening, for example, are for registered visitors only.

As you can see, the Vespa World Days are not just a rally. Piaggio establishes precise rules and these are stated in the contract with the Vespa Club Celle. Here are two significant points:

  1. Registration for the Vespa World Days is only possible using the online tool of the Vespa World Club.
  2. Login data for the tool are given to each national club or local club organized in the respective national club.

This means that you cannot register for the Vespa World Days if you are not a member of an organized club. How to join the event? You have two possibilities: you can join an organized club or found a new club. So if you wish to participate, please contact your national club for further information.

Why register?

The Vespa Club Celle is contractually required to differentiate between registered and non-registered visitors. 

  • All visitors have access to the Vespa Village.
  • All visitors can join the Vespa whirl.

Services for registered visitors:

  • Booking a camping place
  • Access to parties and concerts taking place in the evening
  • Access to the scooter parking at the event area

The registration for the "Light-Entry" tickets started on the 28th January. More than 3,000 tickets were still available.

The Vespa World Days is a manifestation organized by the Piaggio that has been announced anno in a diverse season. Il Paese o il club locale deve presentare al Vespa World Club una candidatura come organizzatore dell'evento. I Vespa World Days 2017 si svolgeranno in Germania e saranno organizzati dal Vespa Club di Celle.

Vuoi partecipare al più grande raduno mondiale di Vespa? The partecipazione è possibile con un'iscrizione che comprende numerosi servizi oppure con Ingresso gratuito come visitatore giornaliero. I visitatori giornalieri sono anche benvenuti e potranno avere accesso al luogo della manifestazione e ai numerosi stand di ricambi ed a esposizioni e persino partecipare al carosello delle Vespe.   1. Le iscrizioni per il Vespa World Days possono essere accettate dal Vespa World Club esclusivamente tramite il tool on-line di quest'ultimo.
  2. I dati per effettuare il login nel tool vengono messi a disposizione di ciascun club nazionale o club locale facente parte del relative club nazionale.

This means that It is not possible to write al Vespa World Days se non si fa parte di un club organized. Come fare? Ci sono due possibilità: iscriversi a un club organizzato oppure fondare un nuovo club. Se si desidera iscriversi al VWD 2017 è necessario contattare il Vespa Club nazionale.

Vespa World Days - c'est quoi exactement?

The Vespa World Days is an eventual attribute of Piaggio chaque année à un pays different. Afin de pouvoir l'organiser, il faut que le club vespiste national, ou plutôt le club local, pose sa candidature auprès du Vespa World Club. Les Vespa World Days 2017 are organized par le Vespa Club Celle Germany.

The Vespa World Club is created for the needs of the employés de Piaggio and for the needs of the presidents élus des club vespistes nationaux.

Pas un assembly habitual

Souhaitez-vous assister au plus grand rencontre vespiste du monde? Il faut savoir, qu'on différencie entre les participants inscrits (avec plus de services) et les visitors (free entry). Bien sûr vous êtes également le bienvenu en tant que visiteur! Vous pouvez acceder au site de l'évènement or vous allez trouver des stands de pièces détachées et des expositions. It is également possible de participer au cortège. Uniquement les activités en soirée sont réservées aux participants inscrits. Continuez à lire pour savoir la raison pour laquelle il vaut la peine de s'inscrire!

Vous aurez certainement remarqué qu'on ne peut pas comparer les Vespa World Days avec un rassemblement “normal”. Piaggio établit des règles et rédige un contrat avec le club vespiste organisateur. Parmi les règles figure:

  1. Une inscription n'est possible qu'à travers le program officiel en ligne du Vespa World Club
  2. Les clubs nationaux et les club locaux, faisant partie d'un club national, reçoivent les coordonnées afin de pouvoir se connecter au programs

Qu'est-ce que cela signifie pour les vespistes qui ne sont pas membres d'un club?

Si vous n'êtes pas membre dans aucun club vespiste, mais si vous souhaitez assister, merci de prendre contact avec le club vespiste national.

Pourquoi faut-il s'inscrire?

Le VC Celle is obligé à respecter les clauses du contrat avec Piaggio et ils doivent différencier entre les personnes inscrites (participants) et les personnes non-inscrites (visiteurs).

Vespa World Days - what is it and what does it actually mean

The Vespa World Days are an event that Piaggio gives to different countries every year. The country or the organizing local club must apply to the Vespa World Club to host it. For 2017 the Vespa Club Celle bring the Vespa World Days to Germany.

Half of the Vespa World Club consists of Piaggio employees and the other half of appropriately elected presidents of the national clubs. Currently, Uwe Bödicker is from the Vespa Club Germany in the VWC and is a member of the board there.

The Vespa World Club has awarded the organization of the VWD 2017 to the VCVD - and the VCVD in turn to the Vespa Club Celle.

Not a normal scooter meeting

Do you want to be part of the world's largest Vespa meeting? A distinction is made here between registered participants with many inclusive services and the free entry for day visitors. You are of course also welcome as a day visitor and have, for example, access to the huge event area with the large parts markets and exhibitions, you can even take part in the corso. The evening events, for example, are only withheld from the registered guests. Below you can find out why it is worth mentioning this special Vespa meeting!

You notice that the Vespa World Days cannot be compared to a 'normal' meeting or run. With the award of the Vespa World Days Piaggio rules on and records this in a contract with VC Celle. Two things are fundamentally involved:

  1. The VCC may only accept registrations for the VWD via the on-line tool of the Vespa World Club
  2. Every country club and every local club that is organized in the respective country club receives a login for the tool.

What does this mean for the unsuitably organized scooter drivers in Germany?

The effect is that the Single driver cannot register. The simplest solution here is either to join an organized club - or simply to found one yourself quickly.

Establishing a Vespa Club made easy:

Establishing a Vespa club can without any bureaucracy and with only little effort happen. It doesn't have to be a registered association -> there are rumors that such a club would have to be registered as an eV, that is NOT true!

  1. Create a member list
  2. Define / elect the chairman
  3. From the VCVD side the Membership application download: http://www.vcvd.de/page/regelwerk/
  4. Fill in and send to Uwe

The VDVC charges an annual fee of € 4.- pp, you just have to come to terms with the costs. It is also technically possible to register the club now - and then to cancel it again at the end of the year - or even easier: to reduce the number of members for 2018 to 1-2 so that the club can be used again for registrations for future VWDs.

But why register?

The VC Celle is contractually bound to provide a clear differentiation of the services between registered and non-registered guests.

  • Access to the Vespa Village is open to everyone.
  • Everyone can take part in the big corso.

The following services can only be used if you are registered:

  • Book a place on the campsites
  • Access to the party and the bands in the evening
  • Access to the scooter parking lot on the premises
