Scooter Events that Scooter Center is a Scootershop that very deeply with the ScootersZene is rooted. So it goes without saying that that Scooter Center supports many events and is also on site. In addition to the mere presence at events, it has always been important to us to enrich the scene with our own events.

On 26.06.09/XNUMX/XNUMX we were with our SCOOTER CENTER Sprint system at the 1st Dreamcoast Days in Northern Germany. A new event in the VW and Audi scene.
After our arrival on Friday evening, we quickly set up the trusses so that we could start punctually at 11:00 on Saturday morning.
The classic one was driven 1/8 mile (201,168m).
Yeeeeeha!
Go Vespisti, Go!
Tutto buono, hello, ciao!
An estimated 5.000 Vespa drivers have put Zell am See into a state of emergency over the last few days ...
The ride with about 2.000 scooters on the Großglockner (3.780m) was a highlight - but today Zell was rocked !!!
The main road was firmly in the hands of the scooter drivers and the drivers puked! Sure, Vespa has right of way ;-)
The local gastronomy provided the meeting with subtle après-ski music from 22.00 p.m. (by DJ Ötzi / Wolfgang Petri / AC-DC)
and so one tire after another was burned under the supervision of the local gendarmerie !!!!!
("... OK Burn - but you go to jail alone! ...")
(Chief to Enzo!)
Buona Notte - Tanta Lotte!
The following snippets of words give a small impression of Vespa World Days Day 2: individual fragments, snapped internals ... from the SCOOTER CENTER team in Zell am See.
“Today: Day 2. For some of us, day 1.
Crystal clear streams. Cool blonde. Bye.
Less than 8 liters per 100km. 11 hours on GTs 250 & 300 and under 3,5 liters on 100km.
Hello good night. "
Until tomorrow.
After a stopover in Munich and a fantastic schnitzel in the Ayinger Brauhaus, we arrived in Zell am See today.
The diesel is almost 10 cents cheaper in Austria - so the transit combination was driven down to a range of 13 km. It's just a shame that there was still this mountain between the gas station and us - and suddenly it was just there 0km range ;-) ...
On the weekend of Pentecost, the annual first was again in Stockach (Bavaria / Bodensee) Quartermile - run to the DBM.
We were there with a few friends and after two night shifts we were in good spirits not to come back without empty hands. After 540km there was finally well-deserved: grilled meat and cold beer in addition the usual gasoline conversations. On the next nighter we swung a little bit of the dance floor but not for too long because we wanted to be fit.
The next day we had to drive about 20 minutes from the Rungelände to get to the track in an industrial area.
There were already numerous spectators and participants there, so was the new one Vespa catalog and Lambretta catalog out of stock quickly.
To our astonishment, there were really a lot of spectators from the region and afterwards there were even more than 1.000 people in total.

Official press text:
This year's Vespa World Days will take place from Thursday, June 11th to Sunday, June 14th, 2009 in Zell am See. Around 3000 Vespa fans are expected at the world's largest and most important meeting around the Italian cult scooter. The program includes excursions into the Pinzgau mountains, events and festivals, as well as an impressive gala dinner on Saturday evening.
The Vespa World Days 2009 in Zell am See are all about the encounter between the Pinzgau tradition and the Italian way of life. For four days, the traditions and lifestyle of two myths will mix. The Pinzgau with its breathtaking mountains, the cultivated tradition and the colorful folklore meets the lifestyle of the cult Scooters, which once moved an entire nation and is still a symbol of Italian joie de vivre.
Last weekend the 19th run of the “Cologne Course” from MSC Porz took place.
We from SCOOTER CENTER TEAM were again represented in large numbers.
After the final preparations and joint inviting of all the equipment and the racing scooters on Saturday morning, it was finally around 14:30 p.m. towards the ring. Once there, we met many familiar faces. The large CONTINENTAL TENT, the grill, the racing scooters etc. were quickly unloaded and set up.
After the technical acceptance, transponder assembly and the legendary driver briefing, the final preparations were made on the scooters.
Luckily got that SCOOTER CENTER TEAM still the box no. 25. So the very rainy Saturday evening with a barbecue under the tent, music and the typical gasoline conversations was a complete success for those present from the Classic Scooter racing scene.
It wouldn't be the ring if it weren't for rain and sun on a weekend, an old Nürburgring rabbit once told me. The same thing happened on Sunday at 8:00 a.m. with the first coffee it was still quite humid and punctually at 10:00 a.m. for training it was nice and dry.
Almost all of our 12 scooters got through more or less well, but even our “T-Roller” was still used.
Fortunately, a lot of spectators came to the ring. Many familiar faces from the scooter scene were present. Overall, drivers from all parts of Germany but also from AT, GB, BE, FR and even Canada were represented.
At about 14:00 the start finally took place, the one with a
- 2nd place in regularity,
- the fastest "girl scooter" and
- with 12 scooters from 70 starters, on our part
was generally very satisfactory. We are already looking forward to the next race.
Greetings to all contributors - see you soon and get well soon to start number 6.
Torsten Wengeler
Since 2004, regular scooter races have taken place on the Nürburgring again.
We owe this opportunity to the MSC Porz, who offers a “regularity run” for classic scooters as part of the Cologne course. For most of us that means: evenly full throttle! ;-)
On Saturday was heavy rain in the dry SCOOTER CENTER Box grilled and screwed in the paddock.
We were able to greet many friends and familiar faces again. The hard core was swept out of the box at 1:30 - after all, the first training session was scheduled for 10:40 on Sunday.
Sunday came up with the best weather. During training we had 20 minutes to determine the fastest drivers and then to determine the starting grid. In the first row of the grid there were 1 starters from SCOOTER CENTER Team (Harry Barlow & Christian Schneider).
If the weather was fine, repairs and maintenance work could be carried out in the open air after the first training session. After the SCK grill had given everything again at noon, the race started.
The Green Hell took its toll: of 65 starters, only 45 made it to the finish (cancellations, no accidents)
The SCOOTER CENTER Team was able to record several successes:
Place 2 Christian Schneider (Regularity evaluation)
Tanya Kluger - fastest woman in the field ;-)
The next appointment at the Nürburgring for classic scooters is September 13 “Renoldus Sprint”
The SCOOTER CENTER is looking forward to it!
The heat battle of Aldenhoven!
That was the case with very summery temperatures last Saturday RTP Aldenhoven Race 1 instead of .
The SCOOTER CENTER was at the start as support for this event. We had ours with us SPRINT SYSTEM and the mobile bunting bat SCK - TEST BENCH.
The sun was laughing from the sky all day, the sunburn was inevitable, as were sweaty station wagons. But there was excellent grip on the track.
DSSC 1st run Saarbrücken. Reported on all weather channels and advertised everywhere on the Internet, should it rain in Saarbrücken on Saturday. Still full of optimism (last year it also rained and afterwards it was nice) we left Cologne at 7:30 am and arrived in Saarbücken on time.
The weather god really didn't play along this time and it was really nice to see how many familiar faces and newcomers had come to experience this spark of hope, the smell of gasoline and rubber on the asphalt.
On Sunday the Munich scooter community met for the annual season opening, the “roll-on”.
The appointment was made in GSF and they met at the classic car meeting on the Theresienweise. “Otto” Jan Brand had once again chosen a great route via Schäftlan Abbey. After about 1,5 hours of driving, the group reached this year's destination: the Aufhofener Weiher.
IDSM 2009 1st and 2nd run on 4/5. April in Templin
On time for IDSM season start 2009 Spring came with lots of sun and temperatures of up to 22 degrees on the kart track in Templin.
Best conditions for mine, with support SCOOTER CENTER and Sava to really test the newly built 70cc Runner for the first time!
Free practice was announced on Saturday morning, where I first set the engine and the chassis for the fast kart track.
I managed the setup for the qualifying that followed, and I was quite happy with my lap times of around one minute. Starting position 5 of 22 participants in class 2 / 70ccm was the reward!
On Saturday evening it was still quite cozy in the paddock, there was a lot to tell about what happened over the winter and the scooter was rebuilt.
1st SCK Classic Day on Saturday:
Hats off! Thank you for your attendance - despite the adverse conditions - numerous!
Always nice to see that scooter ride at EVERY weather is fun. 80 test bench runs with a maximum of 38,2 HP on the rear wheel, over 100 sausages and plenty of cola, coffee and beer contributed to a relaxing day.
We hope you've got one or two bargains and we're excited to see how much stainless steel will be on soon Smallframes can be seen ;-).

After Anes and I had packed the transit up to our ears in Tetris end-level fashion, we set off on the journey Thursday around 6.00:13.00 a.m. With black ice on our necks, we reached Friedrichshafen Messe around XNUMX p.m., where Heiko was already waiting for us in a mini-co-op in front of our hall.
We entered an almost empty hall. When we finally agreed on how best to place the banners at around 17.30 p.m., we proudly left our really successful booth. So now quickly check into the 4 star hotel with a view of the lake and then buy some catering equipment.
