On our Facebook Page we just shared an awesome video. It shows a ride on a Vespa V50 with a Quattrini M1LR cylinder, recorded with an onboard camera.
Mostly no snow yet, but still: cold. Wet. Winter. Your scooter is likely to be parked in the dark garage or basement for the winter.
It's just before Christmas - but that doesn't really comfort the real scooterist about the fact that now is not the best time to ride a scooter! In this deeply sad time we want to give hope to the scooter driver in you and show light at the end of the long winter tunnel.
Things are looking up: today is the shortest day of the year - that is, the worst is over and summer is coming! How about a new Vespa cup for hot tea or coffee while summer is still a long time coming. A new Vespa bath towel would also be great when summer finally arrives - it also looks good in the sauna during the already tense waiting time.
Get your scooter out of the basement now and turn it into a custom project for the SCOOTERSHOW'15! This is the real one again Scooter Custom Show 2015 on March 21.03.2015st, XNUMX in Cologne
Your motto is more like “Chrome won't bring you home”? Then now is the best time to have an engine overhaul on your scooter. With the Scooter Center Exploded drawings you can find the spare parts for your scooter quickly and easily! Select the scooter model here or visit all of them exploded.
But something for the optics: Paint care with our new ROTWEISS paint care products
You don't even know what I'm writing about here? Are you always happy because you ride your scooter all year round? My advice: bgm PRO stainless steel rims and good winter tires. This is how you get through everywhere: Sticky is with them Vespa rims raced through the desert.
Now at the latest - when it comes to the desert - you should be warmer. But let's get back to the harsh reality: winter. Consecration! So to create a little Christmas spirit here too, you can visit our Advent Calendar look for bargains (TIP: also retrospectively) and a super cool one Bell Custom 500 jet helmet win!
We wish you a great Christmas time with friends and family!

Wow - that was awesome. It's great that so many of you came here with Vespa and Lambretta - and this year even the weather played a role!
We have a little video and lots of photos from ClassicDay´14 for you:
All the data and facts of this great Vespa quartet are researched with a lot of passion, the quality of the images increases steadily and the design surprises again and again with beautiful ideas. The mixture of the personal touch, integrated pun and the popular Kerresinhio style is appreciated by the Scooterists, who are becoming loyal, returning customers - now beyond the borders of Europe. The quartet for tin scooter fans: Vespa and Lambretta drivers!
The philosophy of the Kerresinhio Quartet is that each game is limited and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to a good cause. The first edition is already completely sold out. A few of the second edition are still available here: Vespa quartet

The bgm PRO BigBox ist a powerful all-round tuning exhaust for the Vespa PX / Rally 200, which sounds like the original Vespa exhaust from Piaggio and looks just as “harmless” at first glance.
Regardless of whether it is an original engine or already heavily tuned: The BigBox really delivers performance and revving without being conspicuous.
The bgm BigBox is suitable for every engine. It has no approval and no test mark. The exhaust body has more volume than the original exhaust.
A TÜV registration is only possible through an individual individual acceptance and requires a previous assessment of the vehicle by your TÜV office.

The bgm PRO Superstrong Cosa coupling is the plug n play solution - Made in Germany.
This quality Vespa clutch is with 20,21,22, 23, XNUMX and XNUMX teeth available: Vespa clutch
You get a ready-to-install Vespa Cosa clutch with the supplied reinforced clutch springs in a performance range of 20HP / 22Nm works fine.
With separately available springs with a higher spring rate *, the clutch can keep up with setups without complaint significantly above 30 PS and is still easy to operate.
The scope of delivery includes the complete ready-to-install clutch with bgm PRO Cosa clutch linings and ten reinforced springs. A new O-ring for the clutch cover and the crescent wedge.
The number of teeth on the clutch is important for the length of the total reduction. This can also be varied. Possible combinations:
For models up to and including 150cc, a small cast aluminum lug in the motor housing must be removed to mount the clutch. This can be easily snapped off with larger pliers. With some clutch covers, minimal material has to be removed from the drip nose at 12 o'clock in the area of the radius.
The Vespam clutch can be installed in almost all engines of the so-called Vespa Largeframe Class. These are all vehicles whose chassis prefix is three-digit (e.g. VNB, VNL, VNX etc., the addition 1T, 2T, 3T is not taken into account) and which have the carburetor installed directly on the engine housing (not in the frame or on the cylinder). On some old vehicles before the Vespa PX era, the thin washer (1,5mm) under the clutch has to be replaced with that of the PX models (3,3mm Item No. 7671297 http://www.scooter-center.com/product/7671297).

From May 31.05st - 02.06.2013 the annual meeting of the Stoneheads took place again in Liedolsheim.
Usually the region is subject to the Liedolsheim go-kart track not the meteorological conditions. This meeting has always shone in the last few years with blazing sun and summer temperatures.
This year, however, it was literally “land under”. Continuous rainfall and heavy rain at night were on the program for the 11th Run and Race.
In the party tent, of course, the party continued until the early hours of the morning.
On Saturday, the actual day of the race, after a sobering look into the paddock, ...
At the driver briefing, the planned start of training was postponed due to the weather conditions. In the meantime, attempts have been made to drain the route with drainage holes that were excavated by specially provided excavators and to drain the fire brigade's submersible pumps.
An undertaking that was made difficult by the constant rain. In the end, around 11:00 the first brave ones were able to swim a lap on the track ...
Unfortunately, the joy only lasted for a short time - due to increasing rain, the route was closed again at 11:30.
While the water was a source of annoyance for the drivers on the route, it was a source of joy elsewhere….
The planned endurance race was canceled without replacement so that a reasonable schedule could still come about despite all the adverse circumstances and the race day could be carried out in accordance with the rules. After the rain stopped around 13 p.m., we were also able to put our P00 test bench into operation.
At least a little contrast program for all those who like angry engine sound and the smell of 2-stroke oil.
Then finally, around 15:00 p.m., after a short qualifying session for all drivers, all ESC classes were able to carry out 2 rated runs each.
And when the sun broke through the clouds for the first run of the K1, the racing world was all right again.
In addition, here are a few on-board impressions from Isa and Philipp:
And finally ...
Another successful one from the Stoneheads. Despite all the adversities, it was great fun!
This is how this great video “Vespalogy” from France ends. Cool animations with perfectly fitting sound. We love Vespa too - and this Vespa video auh!

This is a Smallframe Racing Vespa from France without carburettor.
M1L Quattrini means that this cylinder was installed in the engine: Quattrini M1L cylinder kit.
"without carburetor ”? YES!
The boys of SPRT racing have at the Smallframe Vespa from Julien Desnuelle an electronic 2-stroke Direct injection built in.
Julien got in touch with us: Correction: built in indirect injection, so not directly in the cylinder head.
Addition from Julien to the engine:
The cylinder is an old M1L 2008, the one with the tiny reeds. It is associated to full circle Mazu crank for ETS, Vespatronic ignition and Franz exhaust: that's a really small set-up for a K2!
The carb has been changed for a 28 mm throttle body with butterfly.
Here is the M1L Quattrini Vespa in action on the racetrack at Scootentole in Mirecourt, driver: Olivier Doussot, SPRT team.
[youtube] _sjx2i4xFlY [/ youtube]The M1LR is the latest litter from tuning guru Max Quattrini. The basis was the M1L, which was improved in many details. The 125 cc displacement (56 mm bore, 51 mm stroke) is still fed via a diaphragm direct inlet. The cross-sectional area of the diaphragm has increased significantly for even more power across the entire speed range. In addition, the transfer devices are operated directly (via so-called Boyesen ports) from the inlet. The use of cast aluminum with an ultra-hard Nikasil coating has, of course, remained.
The main overflow channels are divided and offer an insane cross section and a control time of approx. The outlet already has a control time of 127 ° in the standard trim. In order to achieve the largest possible area and to optimize the flushing behavior, two secondary outlet channels have been introduced.
The intake port, which is also included in the scope of delivery, is provided with a flow-optimizing stuffer (the connection width is 31 mm outside, 22,5 mm inside). The cylinder head has a central combustion chamber and is provided with a shoulder for centering the head in the cylinder. The piston is equipped with a 1 mm thin ring. The power of the cylinder is specified with 25-30 HP on the rear wheel.

Perfectly fitting and properly riveted floorrail are the i-point for every restoration. There's nothing worse than a freshly painted scooter with crooked and mismatched treads.
Therefore we offer you various Step board sets in absolute top quality. Only high-quality materials are used for this in order to be able to offer you sets in OEM quality. The rubber floor strips as well as the end pieces and the aluminum rivets are of top quality. The already very precisely pre-bent step strips are in no way inferior to the originals and can be installed without great effort. Furthermore, the holes for the rivets are already in the right places and can be optimally riveted. The scope of delivery of our step board sets includes the black rubber step board strips, the plastic end pieces and the matching set of rivets.
The original Nietzange Of course we also have it in our program. Convince yourself of the function in our video. We only sell the ORIGINAL from Austria!
The fuel supply of the Vespa largeframe Models is always a bit problematic due to the small height difference between the tank and the float chamber level of the carburetor.
If the engine is converted to a different type of carburettor, its float chamber is usually higher than that of the original SI counterpart. In the case of very petrol-hungry engines, this can quickly lead to an undersupply, which leads to the mixture becoming lean and, in the worst case, this in turn can result in engine damage.
A central throttling point in the fuel flow is of course the fuel tap. The original tap has an average flow rate of just under 300ml / min. That would of course also be sufficient for the most powerful engine, because 300ml / min would correspond to a consumption of 18 liters per hour.
VIDEOWith the PX, Rally, Sprint and similar models, however, as I said, it is more important to minimize the flow resistance in order to always have the highest possible pressure on the carburetor. To illustrate the flow rate, we have set up an experimental setup with three different petrol taps. We were also amazed by the clear result.
So far, the golden rule has been that for engines that are significantly more powerful than an original engine, a flow rate of at least 400ml / min should be aimed for.
Our new Faster Flow fuel tap not only doubles this amount, it adds another 100ml / min on top! So it has twice the flow rate of a conventional FastFlow fuel tap and an unbelievable three times the amount compared to an original fuel tap!
This makes it an ideal addition to all high-performance setups and offers a secure basis to prevent gasoline supply problems in the beginning.
version 1 with reserve position corresponds to the functionality of a fuel tap as it was installed in all PX models up to 1984 as well as all V50, PV and PK S models. When the reserve level is reached, manual switching of the fuel tap is necessary. Nice feature on the side: The FasterFlow tap has a larger reserve volume (approx. 1 liter) than an original fuel tap.
version 2 has only one open / closed position, but has a built-in float with which the reaching of the reserve quantity can be indicated via a control lamp (not supplied).
