The new ones have just arrived Piaggio cylinder from PM tuning.

The Nicasil-coated aluminum cylinders fits the 2-stroke Maximotoren (e.g. Gilera Runner). Tuning legend Paul Melici took on the development of the fast road use had in view. The cylinder layout is coming

  • with four overcurrent channels,
  • two boost ports and
  • one-piece outlet with a width of 44.7 mm (corresponds to 68% chord size).
  • from 25PS at 8.200 rpm and full suitability for everyday use

According to PM, the cylinder is inserted for 25 PS good on the rear wheel without sacrificing durability and suitability for everyday use. The peak performance is moderate with the PM59 exhaust and Dellorto 25 PHBL carburettor 8.200 U / min on. If that's not enough for you, you can still port the cylinder. For this purpose, all sealing and channel surfaces are reinforced with sufficient material. This provides the perfect basis, where you don't break straight into the cooling water or the outside air.

Scootertuning Roller tuning tire warmersNew in Shop are bgm PRO tire warmer.

Tire warmers are a constant in motor racing. Whether Formula 1 or Moto GP - nobody can do without preheated tires.
The warm tires have immediate grip, on the circuit you can brake later and go deeper into the corners.
In the Quatermile, the dreaded wheelspin is avoided and the tire bites into the asphalt.

Functionality:

Silicone-coated heating wires warm the tires slowly, and therefore gently, to a temperature of 175 ° F (78-84 ° C). The tires have reached their optimum operating temperature after approx. 30 minutes.

Scooter Center SCK Twin Session in the video

SCK Twin 2 cylinder testing on the road 2

Pictures from the photo shoot

Scooter Center Twin test run

Scooter Center Twin two-cylinder test drive

First impressions from the test drives with our Sprinter scooter "Scooter Center Twin ”2-cylinder in August 2008:

The “Test and Tune” weekend took place on the “Jerry Lacky Raceway” from April 25th to 27th.
A good opportunity to show what Marita, our white SCK dragster, can do on the 1/4 mile alongside top European drag drivers.
Unfortunately, the rain delayed the start of the test session on Friday. The track had to be re-glued so that the Top Fuel Dragsters could also bring their 5000PS onto the asphalt. For the first time this year “Gold Dust” was used, very similar to the track glue that is also used by the FIA in all dragster races. The track sticks in such a way that you really have trouble keeping your shoes on if you come too close to the track.
On Saturday morning at 10 a.m. the time had come and the track was opened. After a few tests and adjustment runs, our Marita employee and driver, Hagen Claasen, was finally able to hunt for seconds on the 1/4 mile (402,99m) long route.
We were curious what time would appear on the ad first, as Marita could only start without NOS.
14,543sec at 139km / h, but there had to be something in it!
And really, 13,631sec and 148,739 / h was our best time at the end of the first session.
With the determination to get a better time, we started again on Sunday morning. As if on the announcement, Hagen then promptly drove a 13,573sec at 150,704km / h.

At this point we would like to thank Wilfried Daffner and Gerd Habermann very much.
Thanks to them it was possible for us to get a real insight into the dragster scene and to have some experiences. We were particularly pleased with the positive response and sincere recognition from all participants. Maybe the scooter scene will be noticed a little more and find a place in the dragster sport….

More impressions in our Album

On Saturday, April 12.04.08th, 1 the time had finally come. The 1st run of the DSSC eV took place in Saarbrücken. When the track dried out, our employee and driver Torsten Wengeler was able to steadily improve his times and drove in 5st position in the open class 6,734 from the start.

Scooter Center Twin Sprinter double cylinder motor scooter

Scooter Center Twin - double cylinder scooter Sprinter

So that our twin can bring its power to the road, we had to think again about a motor housing that can withstand the torque of more than 50Nm.

Here are a few pictures in advance, but the case is unfortunately not yet completely finished.

First of all, massive frames made of 10mm thick material were made, which were placed around the housing and the vario cover.

The time has come!

We can offer you the new BGM Evo crankshaft with a 55mm stroke.
Over 10 prototypes had to endure tests on the test bench and on the road until we were satisfied with the result.

  • the forged Kawasaki connecting rod with a length of 110mm combines low weight with high stability. The length improves the angle at which the force is applied to the bearings and reduces the mean piston speed.
  • lower connecting rod bearing with increased load capacity like from the Moto-GP area. The open needle cage reduces the friction and thus the heat build-up in the bearing.
  • For horizontal motors, a balance factor of 30% -40% is considered optimal. In the test, the balance factor of 37% in connection with a 172 Malossi piston brought the best results.
  • the crankshaft stub on the drive side has been changed, the structure is now 1-part.
  • incl. 5mm spacer

A must for sprinters. The external water pump. At over 14.000 rpm, the mechanical water pumps are too fragile and also cost valuable performance.

Water pump BGM Pro, CNC machined, massive pump body and paddle wheel. Connection 12V. Pump output approx. 8l / min. Hose connections 15mm.

[inspic = 59, left, fullscreen, thumb] Simply brilliant! By opening the screw by half a turn, the brake line can be bled in seconds. The constant opening and closing between pumping processes is no longer necessary. This means that one person can bleed the brake system. The annual brake fluid change only takes a few minutes.

[inspic = 60, left, fullscreen, thumb] [inspic = 78, leftclear, fullscreen, thumb]

The spring-loaded ball and the O-ring sealed thread guarantee an absolutely clean working process without brake fluid dripping onto painted components.

The main body of the bleeder screw remains firmly in the brake calliper, so that the brake calliper can no longer be damaged by the usual “open-close” during bleeding.

The vent screw has been tested by the TüV and can be used in all brake systems (including ABS). In addition to Formula 1, this useful system is already used in aviation and shipping.

The new scooter tuning magazine from Inne: SBO magazine from Holland.

SBO Magazine reports in its first issue about our Twin Sprinter. The technical details are mainly dealt with on 4 pages.

To support us, we put our Sprinter on the SBO stand at the largest motorcycle fair in BeMeLux, the Motobeurse in Utrecht. Here, too, the scooter was a crowd puller.

The SBO magazine is very interesting even if you do not speak the Dutch language. Well presented, lots of photos and with a little imagination, you can read it quite well.
