A good friend of the house: Rhine counter VC Cologne celebrates its tenth anniversary in 2024 and Kris, the president, invites us to a big event!

In 2014, three Vespisti from the Rhineland in the Alps were sitting in their van at night on the way home from the Vespa World Days in Mantova, Italy, and were so enthusiastic about the huge Vespa meeting that they quickly launched a new Vespa Club - the Vespa -Club RheinSchaler Cologne! A club for Vespa enthusiasts from Cologne and the surrounding area.

After ten years The three boys have now become over 100 Vespisti and Scooterists. Colorful, diverse, open, crazy and Rhenish-friendly, people have been meeting on Sundays at 16 p.m. on Cologne's Rudolfplatz since the beginning to chat and plan trips.

Every year at least one longer tour is undertaken together and since the beginning the annual organization of the pre-Christmas Vespa charity campaign has been “Vespa Babbo” has now become a Cologne tradition and is known beyond the city limits.

10 year club anniversary

In 2024 the club will look back on many wonderful years with many tours, meetings and activities and will celebrate this from 24.-26. May 2024 in cooperation with the Motorworld Rhineland at the big anniversary meeting at the historic Butzweilerhof Airport with:

Christmas season with the Vespa for a good cause

The first Advent, or St. Nicholas' Day at the latest, is the official opening of the Christmas season. For a few years now there has been a new tradition and you can see many Santa Clauses on their Vespas on the streets. The rides are often for a good cause and are a perfect opportunity to disguise the scooters as reindeer and hit the popular Christmas markets.

We have received photos and invitations from various clubs, so we would like to report a little from our area:

Cologne

As in the case of the exit Rhine switch with her classic vespababbo. The 8th edition was canceled last Sunday due to the weather. Nevertheless, a few perplexed and Vespa freaks could meet (like me) did not hold back and still met and - despite the weather - drove through downtown Cologne to spread the joy of Christmas.

That’s how it is 1.000€ was received through donations that are handed over to the Cologne Community Foundation.

Leverkusen

On December 18th there is a very special one Moped Christmas ridethat will drive through Leverkusen at an unbelievable cruising speed of 25 km / h.

It's interesting that the guys built a Ciao tandem that we sponsored with parts.

The background to the tandem: They give a moped fan who has lost their eyesight the chance to drive again.

Timo would like to go with his Vespa Christmas Campaign 2021 distribute biscuits through Wolfenbüttel. This time even with some other scooter riders. Local families will take part in the campaign. He is also planning a competition, which we are happy to support.

Scooter Center Customshow 2016 - No. 9

On April 9th, 2016 the time had finally come again. The ninth custom show of the starts in the adventure halls in Cologne Scooter Centers.

In the most beautiful sunshine, almost 2.000 visitors come to admire well over a hundred exhibits that reflect the entire spectrum of the scooter scene.

The custom scooters are rounded off by the private parts market and dealer stands. The bar for the coming year was set very high and the unanimous tenor of visitors, exhibitors and the organizer is that this is the best of all SC custom shows so far.

The proportion of real custom scooters is also encouraging. Our friend Champ from the German scooter magazine puts it in a nutshell CLASSIC SCOOTERS:

“There was an impressive number of top scooters. It has been a custom show for a long time, which lived up to its name (and not just a classic car exhibition). "

There is no better way to put it. And the comeback of customs has been reminiscent of the weddings in the nineties. Scooters like the LEGIO X from Paul are definitely characteristic. The love that went into the details and the amount of work involved can be seen not least on the gold-plated rear bgm PRO Lambretta shock absorber.

The special charm is the mixture of the different styles.

From the hypothetical 1953 factory racer from the Hoffmann company by Andreas Nagy to one of the two existing 2-cylinder SX prototypes from Innocenti to the 80s dream ship from Yoleila, everything is represented.

A highlight is definitely the booth of our Italian friends from Parmakit, Casa Lambretta and the Rimini Lambretta Center. The Casa Performance catalog 2016 has its world premiere here and has been printed in an edition of 150 as a special edition for the custom show.

Vittorio Tessera from Casa Lambretta also likes the event: “You have prepared an incredible scooter show!”

The show is not limited to the exhibition halls. When the weather is beautiful, a hundred more scooters will be parked in front of the hall and there will be a lively exchange of ideas on the subject of tuning, restoration and optimization.

The bottom line is: great weather, great atmosphere and a successful start to the season that makes you want more!

Scootershow 2016 becomes a weekender

The Prengel Scooter Club invites you to the Vespa / Lambretta Kickdown 24 on April 2013, 2013.

Vespa and Lambretta - friends meet and spend the whole day together - until well into the next morning.

Start: Rollers from Cologne
The start of the scooter season in Cologne begins with the meeting point at 14 p.m. at the Mediapark. From there you go on a 3-hour scooter tour around Cologne. You're coloring a Vespa Smallframe with 50ccm? The seasonal motor scooter is of course suitable for Fuffi. Few traffic lights and lots and lots of free travel make the tour an experience.

On Sunday, May 22nd, the time has come: The next Open Day with us at SCOOTER CENTER increases.

Um 12 hours it starts with a second breakfast from the grill and a beer.
Anyone who wants can offer their parts for free on the private parts market. We also cleaned up a lot again. So, bargain hunters: set the alarm clock!
