European Scooter Trophy EST Jüterbog race

Race report on the final race of EST 2021 in Jüterbog on October 09.10.2021th, XNUMX

The Scooter Center is a sponsor of the EST and the organizers of the European Scooter Trophy and the European PitbikeTrophy called all participants together for the season finale in Ju? terbog. Due to the corona, it was a short and therefore even more exciting season. In a full field of drivers the motto of the season was: Every point counts and failures cost the championship! After the turbulent 2nd run in Wittgenborn, the spell of the popularity was not broken. More than 100 sprinter drivers at a day event were another Record milestone for the 2021 season. And it was about everything. No participant in the 9 classes was already sure of the championship. And so it got fast and exciting. The conditions for the run were ideal. Asphalt, weather and mood were at their peak and so the full picke-pack schedule could be filled with life

The results of the weekend by class:

Class 1 - Rookies by Scooter-Attack:

Norman Neufang drove to the race in Jüterbog with a clear margin of 23 pts. Between the second-placed Drath and the third Kugel, it was much closer to the point with 6 points. The previous season impression was confirmed in qualifying. Neufang set the best time among the rookies with a gap of three tenths ahead of Drath and Janz. Kugel was able to keep up with the trio in 4th place.

The first race got off to a brilliant start right from the start. Drath collected Neufang straight away. However, he was able to counter quickly. Janz gave everything to keep up with the top duo. Neufang was able to pull away bit by bit. Everything was already out after a final victory when Neufang had to give up in the 12th lap. With that, Drath raced straight to the finish line in first place ahead of Janz, who had slipped to third place in the meantime, but was able to take second place in front of Kugel in the end.

Things went better for Neufang in the second race. Even at the start he didn't give Drath a chance and rightly showed why he is at the top of the championship among the rookies. But Drath was not impressed and attached himself to the rim of Neufang. The duo set themselves apart from the rest of the chasing field early on. For Drath it was the opportunity to reach for the stars again. A win would be enough for him for the championship. But Neufang stayed ice cold and made no mistakes. This time, Kugel took third place. Janz couldn't keep up the speed from the first race and had to let Kugel go.

In the end it was again wafer-thin for Neufang. The whopping advantage of 23 points melted down to 3 points ahead of Drath. For Kugel it was 3rd place in the final ranking of the 2021 season.

Class 2 - SuperSport

The championship in the SuperSport was characterized by a four-way battle. Richter was 2 points ahead of Thönnern and Sperling and Alles also had a good chance of winning the whole year with no more than 11 points difference in the ranking. In the qualification, Sperling first escaped the entire field. More than 1 second behind Depta, who placed second, was an announcement for the race. D`Alessandro came in 3rd place.

In the first race, Depta started confidently and immediately passed Sperling. He in turn countered immediately and was able to recapture first place. Pedersen showed a very strong performance, working his way up to second place. As in qualifying, Sperling at the top gave full throttle and raced away from the field. The duel of the race was fought by Pedersen and D'Alessandro. Both fought like lions. Richter could barely keep up with the pace. Sperling, who seemed to be the sure winner in the first race, retired shortly before the end with a technical defect. In the meantime, Pedersen was able to pull away from D'Alessandro and drove through the

Failure of Sperling as the winner of the first race across the finish line. Richter and Depta followed behind D'Alessandro.

The start of the second race was also turbulent. Depta leads the way as the starting winner, followed by Pedersen. In lap 2 the field was rearranged and Depta had Sperling on her neck, followed by D'Alessandro and Pedersen. Sperling fell and had to re-line up in the back of the field. On lap 5, D'Alessandro crashed into the tire wall before the start-finish. As a result, the race had to be interrupted. After an interruption of almost 20 minutes, the restart started. At the end of the race, Pedersen won, followed by a strong Rene? Judge. Third place went to Thönnern before everything. Everything had to plow through the entire field during the two races because the timed practice could not be completed and could collect important points for the championship.

In the championship, Richter was able to expand his narrow lead over his opponent Thönnern and can call himself the winner of the SuperSport 2021. Joshua Alles was happier third in the championship.

Class 3 - Expert by Scooter-Attack

The championship in the Expert class was completely open before Jüterbog. The chaos rain race in Wittgenborn had brought the climax to tension. The Dane Andersen was 9 points ahead of Ong in the championship, who in turn was only 2 points behind Harder.

The first trial of strength was felt in the qualification. Ong thundered a perfect lap into the asphalt with 1: 04.369. The Polini Cup guest starter from Italy Lanzilao was only able to cross the line with a distance of 3 hundredths. With a view to the championship, Andersen was even further behind on starting position 5. Harder placed third.

The tension was bursting before the race. After the start lights went out, it got heated. Lukas fell after a braking mistake and pulled Schmitt with him, who tried to evade. Both drivers were able to get up again and continue the race. At the front, Ong gave everything and even managed to keep Lanzilao in check for the rest of the race. Andersen couldn't keep up with the speed of the management team. Harder was unlucky. After a fall in the fourth lap, he had to retire with a flat tire and put aside all hopes for the championship. The beneficiary was Andersen, who won a place. Ong was almost crossing the start and finish line at the front when suddenly there was no performance. Lanzilao and Andersen couldn't believe it and overtook Ong so close to the finish line that Ong had to give up important points for the championship to Andersen. Crazy.

In the second race the cards were reshuffled again. Andersen only had to stay on the scooter and Ong had to hope that the dawn would fail and that he could achieve a good position himself. And that's how it started right away. Ong ahead. Lanzilao, Andersen and Harder followed. Harder was snappy and quickly grabbed Andersen. But he has other plans and immediately went into a duel. Lanzilao retired in the middle part of the race after a crash. Andersen and Harder fought groove after groove for second place. In the end, Andersen was able to prevail with the blink of an eye. Ong finished his race flawlessly at the front and was able to secure the day's victory.

The new radiant EuropeanScooterTrophy champion in the expert class comes from Denmark and is called Stefan Andersen. Congratulations! Yannik Ong was able to take a great second place and showed the rest of the field in overall speed that he has a clear claim to the championship in 2022. Third place goes to the former master Marc Harder, whom nobody should write off. 2022 will certainly continue as brilliantly as 2021 ended.

Class 4 - Supramatic & BigBore

The championship in class 4 was a three-headed race. Unfortunately Lövenich did not start as the leader, so the podium under Moutschka and Zehe should be settled. Both drivers were tied on points. And in the qualification Moutschka clearly stood out from toe. In third place was Kazilas much further down.

Moutschka was able to win both races. The scooter just ran perfectly. Zehe also had to pass early in the first race and leave the field. This allowed Kazilas to move up to 2nd place in the first race. Third was Gronow. In the second race, Zehe was able to get involved again and finished the last race of the season ahead of Kazilas in second place.

In the championship, Moutschka had an easy time with the two victories and was able to confidently take the victory in class 4. The second championship course goes to Zehe vor Lövenich.

Class 5 - PitBike Stock by Scooter-Attack

Brzeski against Wittwer was the duel of the championship. Brezski was able to pull out a 10 point lead to Jüterbog. For Förster there was more of a theoretical chance of making the leap to the top. In the qualification you could see the difference clearly. The two opponents were separated by 1,5 seconds.

In the first race, however, Brezski had to give priority to the guest starters. Ullrich and Andruchiewicz were significantly faster than Brzeski and led the top of the PitBike Stock. Ullrich and Andruchiewicz fought gripping duels. In the end, Ullrich was able to claim the top and won narrowly but confidently.

The second race had to be stopped early after a heavy impact after the start-finish line. However, both drivers got away with the horror and so the restart could take place. The first run was reflected almost 1: 1. Ullrich had to keep Andruchiewicz in check and be careful not to throw away the victory himself. Brezski had a lot of leisure to stay with the top duo. Wittwer followed at a considerable distance.

At the end of the third run, the first EuropeanPitBikeTrophy champion was Nils Brezski from the Kaktus Racing team. Jonas Wittwer came in second, followed by Cedric Förster.

Grade 6 - GP Open

The championship in the Open would actually have been predetermined if the unbeaten Erste Gras had been at the start in Jüterbog. So it got exciting again. Schmitt had the theoretical chance to catch up with grass. One win and a second place was enough. However, Lang did not want to let him go so easily.

The day's ranking was dominated by the guest starters from the Simson GP. Deisinger dominated the field in front of Lenk and Lang.

In the first race Deisinger was able to distance himself clearly from the rest of the field. Lang gave everything, but on average he had to let Deisinger go with more than a second. Third place was Postler. Lenk retired early in the race.

In the second race, Deisinger took a new lead and won unrivaled ahead of Lang and Postler.
The big arithmetic game began in the championship. Due to the dropping guest starters, Schmitt got 40 points in the end and reduced Gras's lead to 2 points. However, the decisive victory was denied him. This year's champion in the GP Open is called Henning Gras. Heiko Schmitt came in second ahead of Benjamin Lang.

Grade 7 - Beginners

In the beginners' category, Alexander Krawitz was practically in possession of the championship. Arrive and persevere was the motto.

However, Krawitz skilfully and ambitiously went into his last race. With a lead of more than a second over Ilic and almost 3 seconds over Beinlich, he created a good starting position for the race. The first steps in the beginners class took place exactly one year ago in Jüterbog.

In the race itself, Krawitz didn't let anything go and took a very good start-finish victory. Ilic in second place couldn't improve any further and had to keep third-placed Wels in check.

In the championship, Krawitz was the undefeated winner and we are excited to see whether he will be in the rookies class in 2022. Place 2 and 3 was a pure point battle. Wojciechowski's good placement made it really exciting in the fight with Rodens. In the end, both were tied with 43 points in the ranking. However, Rodens was able to achieve the better placement on the HarzRing and thus captured second place. Wojciechowski came in third

Class 8 Endurance & 9 Endurance Split

In the endurance race, the Streetlights team and Simson GP 2 were eagerly awaited. Streetlights once again marked the claim to the championship with a gap of 2 seconds to the rest of the field. But also Ems Coast Tunerz had big plans for the long haul. For the women from ND Design it was about important points for the championship against NEKROX Allstars.

Streetlights had to retire early in the race itself. This cleared the way for Ems Coast Tunerz and she was able to take her victory with almost no resistance. AK Racing and Amp, on the other hand, had to fight a lot more and the driver changes were watched with excitement. Pumba Racing 2 and AKA Racing Team 1 were generally within striking distance, just waiting for a mistake that didn't happen in the end.

In the Endurance Split, Simson GP 2 gave everything, but was far less able to set itself apart from ND Design, who brilliantly defended their second place ahead of GT Racing Team.

In the endurance classification, Pumba Racing 2 won the championship, ahead of AKA Racing and AK Racing and Amp. In class 9, it was ND Design that showed the men properly and in the end brought about a surprising but well-deserved championship title. Second place went to NEKROX Allstars ahead of Learn2slide.

Project Paul at the 10-hour race in Magny-Cours

Finally it was time again! After what felt like an eternity, in which various long-distance races had to be canceled, the loaded Team Scotthole on September 12th to 10-hour race to Magny-Cours a. Full of anticipation, we followed from Paul project - in addition to about 30 other teams - their call.

A lot of time has passed since the last race, time that team boss Dennis has not wasted. So he devoted himself - with great support from Scooter Center - the construction of a completely new racing scooter, the sixth Paul since the formation of the team in 2015. The former PLC-Racer, a V50, with which Andy had already started in the ESC for years, served as the basis. Disassembled into its individual parts, the scooter was rebuilt from scratch and equipped with a lot of power. After a day of testing on the test bench, Paul number 6 with starting number 6 was ready for his race in France.

On Saturday, the day before the race, there was a lot on the program. In addition to the construction of the pit and the technical acceptance, the final adjustments had to be made during the training runs before qualifying, in which we actually ended up in first place - the test was passed, the race could come!

Exciting 10 hours in Magny-Cours

The alarm clock rang early on Sunday morning. The closer the race got, the more stage fright increased – not just among the drivers, it just infected everyone. So off to the track, Paul woke him up and put Felix in the station wagon. Up to this point everything was going smoothly. About ten minutes before the start - we were already in position - we noticed that Paul was "letting go"... Without thinking too much and without wasting any time, we went back to the pits. The reason was found quickly: a screw on the clutch cover was not tight enough. Luckily not a big deal, just the ten minutes left until launch wasn't enough to fix the problem. So the start took place without Paul, who only started chasing half a lap later with Felix.

Starter after starter, the two began to roll up the field from behind. Arrived in position 17, bad luck caught up with us again when the membrane plate flew in our faces. The associated stay in the pits cost us six places, so we started chasing again from 23rd place.

Arrived in 14th place, the rubber carburetor thought that this would be a good time to make the number a little more exciting and spontaneously parted with the carburetor. Driver Andreas was forced to push Paul off the track into the already familiar pit. Equipped with an additional clamp, it went back into the race to make up for lost places. And this time it should work! Team by team and round by round, Andreas, Felix, Thomas, Andy and Wolfi worked their way up to Place 1! For the remaining one and a half hours it was “only” a matter of defending it – not an easy task, because we didn’t get anything for free from the French team “Superbordel”. The drivers, who were also very strong, kept coming dangerously close to us with their fast PK.

Make no mistake now...

The (planned) last driver change took place 40 minutes before the finish line. Andy was able to hold the position and Andreas started for the last stint when the red light came on less than ten minutes later. Abandoned race. All drivers from the pits. But where was Andrew? Ambulance and service car sprinted onto the track towards a part that was not visible from the pits. Minutes passed, dragging like gum. The ambulance left the route first and drove straight through to the medical supply room, followed by the service car loaded with our number 6. Our hearts stopped for a moment.

Part of the team ran straight away to ask about Andreas, the others ran to the service car. Andy still had his suit on and grabbed his helmet, while Dennis, Thomas and Felix Paul did a quick check and started again. The riders from the other teams were in starting positions right next to us, waiting to be released back onto the track. Andy joined in, it could actually go on! We were still in the lead by a good two laps and Andy, after a nerve-wracking ten hours, crossed the finish line with Paul in first place!

With the award ceremony, that has been beneficial for Project Paul so far most exciting racing weekend a happy ending, because Andreas was also able to attend - despite severe pain in his shoulder - and receive his very own trophy: with a time of He has the fastest lap in 1.29.3 minutes burned into the asphalt!

Powered by Scooter Center

We thank the Scooter Center, which supports us with the parts supply at all times, as well as our supporters KR Automation, Egig Performance and FalkR, without whom the construction of such a vehicle would not have been possible without further ado. We would also like to thank the organizer, who realized this great event despite adverse circumstances, and of course all the other teams for a fair race! It is always a great honor for us to be able to share this passion with friends. Thanks a lot for this!

Scooter Center Cup Nürburgring September 2021 – Scooter races at the Nürburgring

True to the motto "The fun is in the foreground"Took place last weekend as part of the German Endurance Championship of the Dortmund Motorcycle Club Scooter Center Cup at the Nürburgring. 42 participants had registered in advance to take part in the regularity run for motor scooters on the Grand Prix circuit of the Nürburgring. The starting field was mixed because there were no restrictions in terms of make and year of manufacture. They started together, the rating was in two classes (divided into geared and automatic scooters).

From the Lambretta from 1954 about the classic Vespa up to modern automatic scooter, From seven to over 50 hp and from rookies to professionals, everything was represented. Everyone is allowed to take part, and that's exactly what makes this cup so appealing - the great variety of drivers and scooters who don't get in each other's way on the big and wide track. In addition, there are regulations that only regulate the safety aspects and otherwise leave all freedom. Open to oldies and young automatic scooters. The perfect event for everyone who wants to get a taste of racing and do a few laps on the track. Our Maryzabel took advantage of this opportunity and entered the race with her PX “Platónika”. She will share her experience with you in a second report.

You could register the day before from 18 p.m. and present your vehicle to the technical inspection. An advantage, as not everyone passed this test straight away (the problem was often the excessive volume, which according to the regulations could not exceed 98 dB), because this gave the opportunity to repair the defects in peace and to re-lock the vehicle the next day present.

On the day of the race there was a total of four runs, two training sessions of 20 minutes each, a qualifying and, finally, the actual race, the Regularity run, during which 35 minutes could be driven. The track was still a bit wet from the nightly rain during the first run, but it got already during the second practice session neatly turned on the gas! On Great fun for everyonethat we spoke to. At the end of the day there were a few technical failures, but no falls, everyone arrived safely at the finish line after the last run.

We hope that the last restrictions due to Corona will no longer apply next year and that we will be able to start again in front of an audience!

Race report for the 2nd round of EST 2021 on the Vogelbergsring on August 21-22.08.2021, XNUMX

Finally again the European Scooter Trophy scooter race - motor scooters - motorsport at its finest! That Scooter Center is happy to support these great EST events. After the start on the Harz-Ring, after the summer break it was time to hunt for points Vogelbergsring in Wittgenborn. The call for the 2nd run was terrific. Full starting fields in the classes promised a great racing weekend. The development in Class 7 - Beginners was particularly gratifying. After a somewhat hesitant start, the popularity in Wittgenborn with 19 starters exceeded all expectations. The class 6 GP-Open was also the second largest class in Wittgenborn with 25 starters. All in all, we were able to close 150 participants be recorded in all classes. Therefore, the schedule was exhausted until the last minute. The conditions on Saturday were perfect. The freshly tarred asphalt offered the best conditions with a sunny 25 degrees.

The results of the race weekend by class:

Class 1 - Rookies SA:

With 39 starters the absolute top class of the line-up. After the schedule had provided for two classes, it was possible to switch to one class after qualification, as not all scooters ran smoothly. Norman Neufang and Sascha Hüskes drove away from the field in qualifying. A gap of more than half a second to the rest of the field showed the differences in performance.

Hüskes won the start of the first race. Neufang behind. Janz lost most of the ground at the start. However, Hüskes missed his chance for a clear victory after crashing at start-finish. The top duo had a lot to do to fight their way through the full starting field. In the end, Neufang had to admit defeat, who in the end was the beaming winner of the first race. Kevin Kugel landed in third place with a clear gap, followed by Fränkle and Heidemann.

Excitement at the start of the second race. Three starters were too late at the pre-start and had to start the second race from behind. The winner was Neufang ahead of Hüskes. Both were able to set themselves apart from the field. Behind it, a three-way battle raged between wire, sphere and Buschsieweke. Janz, who had to start from behind, started a good race to catch up. The top trio with Neufang, Hüskes and Draht had to work hard not to make any mistakes when lapping them. The competitors were just waiting for your chance to overtake your opponent. Neufang stayed cool and showed no nerves and took victory in the second race. 2nd place went to Drath and Hüskes followed in 3rd place.

  2. # 93 Dustin-Miles Drath 45 pts.
  3. # 23 Kevin Kugel 29 pts.

Class 2 - SuperSport

In SupertSport, Sperling wanted to know. As always well prepared, he set the best time in his class in Wittgenborn. He relegated Triebs to second place with a gap of two tenths. Everything was just behind.

The start of the race went according to plan for the top. In midfield, Moutschka and Richter collided early in turn 2, but were able to get up again and continue. Sperling drove an absolutely unrivaled race. A great speed, a cool head and a significantly slower chasing field catapulted him to victory. However, the further podium places were not so unrivaled. Triebs, Thönnern and everything gave each other nothing. Tire on tire, the three drove a great race. In the end, Triebs prevailed over Thönnern and Schiller.

It shouldn't have that easy for Sperling in the second race. A good start secured the top position. Everything was groomed and attacked immediately. A great duel led through the next rounds. Behind that, too, there was tension again about the third podium place. This time it was Triebs, Thönnern and Schiller who gave everything. In the end, Triebs was left behind and had to retire. At the front, Sperling kept his nerve and also won the second race, ahead of Alles und Thönnern.

  1. # 13 Sascha Sperling 50 pts.
  2. # 43 Philipp Thönernen 32 pts.
  3. # 411 Christian Schiller 26 pts.

Class 3 - Expert SA

Marc Harder once again showed his excellent condition and set the fastest time in the qualification on the new asphalt. Ong lurked. The two races were a pure nerve and weather battle and the excitement couldn't be beat. Absolute fantastic duels and excitement until the end was offered to the spectators.

Free to start for the first race. And already in the first corner the battle of nerves started. Harder at the top made no move to let Lukas come by. While he was waiting for the tip, he had to fend off the first attack from the third Andersen. A brief interruption of the nerve battle was inserted after Boceda fell. The driver and scooter were unhappy on the route and had to be briefly looked after. At the restart, the field was led by Harder, ahead of Lukas, Andersen and Ong. And now it was getting wild. Andersen started the best and sat in front of Lukas and Harder. All three immediately in attack mode. Harder immediately attacked Lukas. He stayed cool and turned Harder off. Boceda fell again and had to put his podium claims behind. Lukas also fought on the last groove and fell. The way was clear for Harder. This immediately focused Andersen and clung to his rear tire. Fantastic inner fights followed curve by curve. You could hear the spectators breathing, the race was so exciting. Harder was a lot faster, but Andersen repeatedly let him down. Great motorsport. Fair and respectful. In the long left before 180 degrees, Andersen had finally settled down. Inside it was over for him. Unnoticed by the duel, Ong had positioned himself and was waiting for his chance. Schnell with a fall was able to continue, but was passed through. Andersen was motivated to the tips of his hair, did not give up and increased the pressure to the limit. He had made it when accelerating to start-finish. He cheekily overtook Harder and was able to recapture first place. Harder tried everything to attack again. That was too much of a good thing and so Harder fell 1 lap before the end. Lukas was also very unlucky and fell right in front of the start and finish line and was passed on. After Andersen, Ong crossed the finish line. Beerhus had a laughing eye and was able to take third place.

After the nerve battle in the first race, the weather battle followed in the second race. The announced rain approached 20 minutes before the race. The weather forecasts were ambiguous and the race management announced the race as a wet race in advance. So the choice of tires was up to the drivers. The last laps of the SuperSport, which drove before the expert class, were nerve-wracking. The gates were opened 12 minutes before the race and a monsoon-like rain soaked the track into a pure water slide. Hustle and bustle in all boxes. Change the tires and go straight to the pre-start. It then started with two warm-up laps. Harder in advance. Andersen, who got off to a good start and passed the others in second place, crashed on lap 2. The new top trio here Harder, Lukas and Ong. It's amazing how fast the field plowed through the rain. Ong braked Lukas and went to two. Lukas then fell with problems in the rain. Schmitt fell too, but everyone went on. Harder at the top fell and was passed through to fourth place. That was the chance for Yannik Ong, who was leading ahead of Boceda and Schnelle. Schnell grabbed the Italian and went to second place. This was followed by several falls from Schnell and second place was quickly gone. In addition to the rain, lightning and thunder were now approaching and it was only a matter of time before the race had to be stopped. Lukas in second place went down and found himself in a duel with Andersen and Harder. Harder grabbed Andersen. After another crash by Boceda, Beerhus was in second place and Schnelle in third. An insane race. Harder and Lukas fell again. At the front, Ong drove lonely and confidently. After lightning and thunder were almost directly over the track, the race management decided to stop the race. A crazy race came to an end after 1 laps and more than 4% of the race distance. The radiant and at the same time wet winner was Ong, ahead of Beerhus and Schnelle.

  2. # 76 Julian Beerhus 36 pts.
  3. # 135 Stefan Andersen 33 pts.

Class 4 - Supramatic & BigBore

A total of 4 drivers started for class 4. With Moutschka there was also an old hand back at the start.

Moutschka dominated both races. Second place in the first race went to Lövenich and third place to Stefan. In the second race, behind Moutschka Kazilas, who retired early in the first race, followed Tobias.

Day rating class 4 - Supramatic & BigBore

  1. # 53 Max Moutschka 50 pts.
  2. # 261 Stefan Tobias 32 pts.
  3. # 191 Georgios Kazilas 20 pts.

Class 5 - PitBike Stock by Scooter-Attack

At the top for the best starting position in the PitBikes there was a four-way battle. Jonas Wittwer had repeatedly set the best lap and took pole position with a 4. Ullrich and Brzeski followed behind.

In the race, Wittwer went straight to the front from the start. His pursuers had no chance. Ullrich had to forego the start in the first race. Brzeski still had the best speed, but couldn't keep up with Wittwer's pace. Ullrich and Forster fought in 3rd and 4th place for the last place on the podium. Ullrich kept his nerve and was able to keep Förster at bay in the end. In the front, Wittwer didn't let anything burn in front of Brzeski and drove confidently to first place.

There was a lot more excitement in the second race. Wittwer had it much more difficult and was able to win the start for himself. However, Ullrich was there and immediately put pressure on Wittwer. He felt something was going on. Förster prevailed against Brzeski and finished third. Nikita Rademacher was also able to present herself much better in the second race and speculated on a mistake by the two competitors Förster and Brzeski. Wittwer had to give everything to keep Ullrich behind. In the approach to the curve Ullrich Wittwer braked heavily and took the lead in class 5. That was also the preliminary decision in the second race. Wittwer could no longer be dangerous to Ullrich. Shortly before the end, Brzeski was rewarded and passed Förster.

Day rating class 5 - PitBike Stock by Scooter-Attack

  1. # 112 Jonas Wittwer 45 pts.
  2. # 60 Paul Ullrich 38 pts.
  3. # 469 Nils Brzeski 36 pts.

Grade 6 - GP Open

Full house in the GP class promised a great race. Bresciani and Girolomini from Italy pinned Volk in their place for the best starting positions Bresciani came on pole, followed by Volk, Girolomini and Gras.

The Italian driver Bresciani slept through the start of the first race. He was handed 7 places behind. That promised a lot of excitement for the next 15 laps. Gras thus took the lead in front of Girolomini. Both drivers fought a great duel. V. Stevens, who started the race from second place, had to retire after a fall during the race.

The second race started according to the same pattern as in the first race. Bresciani missed the start again and was overtaken by Gras. Steven was unable to attack again after retiring in the first race. Bresciani immediately countered after a messed up start and was able to collect grass quickly. In the constellation, the field then crossed the finish line.

Grade 7 - Beginners

This time the beginners showed that the newcomers to motorsport could also fight properly. With 19 starters, the class was very well attended and a colorful starter field drove to the starting grid on time

At the head of the field it was always back and forth between the two pit bikers Bang and Siegmann. Who really gave each other nothing. The first scooter driver, Krawitz, finished third until the end of the race. Until shortly before the end, Siegmann was ahead. However, Bang felt that he would still get his chance and was rewarded in the end with a courageous maneuver and won the race.

  2. # 317 Jannik Siegmann 20 pts.
  3. ## 593 Alexander Krawitz 16 pts.

Class 8 Endurance & 9 Endurance Split

The long distance was an absolute magnet for drivers. 30 teams started punctually at 15:30 p.m. for their 3-hour challenge. Happy scene at the start. With a lot of luck, a helper got away unharmed when pushing the bike after the helper accidentally checked the driver from Team Chaos off the scooter. After the start, Learn2Slide was able to take the lead. This was followed by a strong three-way battle between Parts2slide, Pitom and SuperMoto S Factory Friends. Streetlights was particularly strong in class 8. Learn2slide continuously expanded its lead until the end of the race. Parts2slides and Supermoto S Factory Friends watched each other. It got crazy again shortly before the end. The race director already had the checkered flag in hand to wave the first place winner to victory. Two turns before the end, the bike suddenly started to stutter. The driver just turned into the start and finish line, but then parked his bike in the tire wall. What happened next has never happened before. The driver was about to sprint into the pit lane when he was walking in the middle of the track and noticed that I can just slide across the start and finish line. There was almost another collision between the driver and other two-wheelers on the route. The last 40m the bike was pushed over the finish line in a sprint and the lucky winner of the 3h race was certain: Learn2slide.

EST Scooter Racing Finals

Race report on the final race of EST 2020 in Jüterbog

European Scooter Trophy: The scooter and pit bike scene was looking forward to the final race in Jüterbog with great excitement. Despite the short season caused by the corona, the tension was extremely high. In the big classes it was about everything and the championships had not yet been decided. And, as in the previous races, the response was enormous. Over 100 drivers registered for the race in Jüterbog. With that, EST has had a record season. The rookies class in particular was bursting at the seams again. And so we are already looking forward to 2021. More than 10 drivers want to get into Supersport and thus pave the way for the next generation of rookies. These will be great fights in 2021. But before that happens, the third race in Jüterbog had to be mastered.

Great finish after a difficult start due to Corona

We congratulate all participants and especially the winners on a great race event, many thanks to Andre and the EST team for the organization!

Update of the start of the EuropeanScooterTrophy 2020 season

Italian racing drivers are also enthusiastic

One of the special moments this weekend was the participation of 4 Italian drivers. The F&F motori team from Italy started with 4 drivers. Just madness. 1750km for a 1-day event. The guys are awesome and were duly welcomed and celebrated in the EST.

The corona concept developed by the Harz-Ring and Wittgenborn was also used again in Jüterbog and so we were all able to carry out our last run together despite the difficult environmental conditions. Jüterbog was the perfect location for the last race. A route length of 1,3km, a huge field of drivers and the existing runway for set-up runs made optimal conditions possible. Even the weather was on the EST side again, so the event could be run in dry conditions.

Here are the results of the individual classes:

Grade 7 - Beginner

We were able to inspire 7 drivers for the beginner class. Here, however, the championship was decided in advance, as Moosmann was the only championship driver.

The starting grid looked like this:

  1. # 12 Jonathan Krahn 1: 23.277
  2. # 290 Kevin Geissler 1: 23.352
  3. # 22 Tobias Moosmann 1: 23.689

Moosmann was able to claim the start and drove Krahn and Münch away. Münch grabbed Krahn early and drove up to two. Krahn crossed the finish line in third place.

The picture from the first race was repeated in the second race. Krawitz and Geissler were able to keep up at the beginning, but then had to admit defeat to Krahn.

Final result K7 beginner

  1. # 50 Tobias Moosmann 50 pts.
  2. # 5 Collin Münch 40 pts.
  3. # 12 Jonathan Krahn 32 pts.

The first master of the newly created beginner class was Tobias Moosmann with 100 points.

Class 1 - rookies

With a view to the championship, the most exciting duel between Just and Depta was. Just got faster and faster as the season progressed and put Depta and guest starter Thönnern under real pressure.

  1. # 43 Philipp Thönissen 1: 10.352
  2. # 1 Merlin Depta 1: 10.906
  3. # 42 Bastian Just 1: 12.316

The rookies' first race was a real four-way battle. Thönennis in front. Was able to keep a little distance from Depta. Behind wheel to wheel Just and Johanshon. Triebs really wanted to get involved and grabbed Johanson first and then Just. Just persisted and didn't want Triebs to pull away. Meanwhile, Depta increased the number of strokes and hunted down Thönnern, who could not surrender to the pressure on lap 12. In the end, Depta crossed the finish line ahead of Thönnern, Just, Triebs and Johanshon.

In the second race, Thönissen failed to start. He did not get the performance tamed and was passed on in 4th place. Just benefited from this and moved up to first place. Depta followed him. Quebbemann on three was initially able to keep up, but then had to admit defeat to Thönnern and Triebs. Thönennis grabbed Depta and drove back to second place, with the aim of regaining the top spot. Thönennis crashed and was then unable to keep up with the speed until he was finally eliminated on lap 1 after an accident with Just. For Depta, the second race did not go optimally either. After falling from ninth place, he had to work his way up again. The laughing winner that day was Marcel Triebs. This remained accident-free and drove confidently to the top in the wild change of position. Johanshon was able to successfully finish the second race in second place ahead of the surprising third Schiller.

Final result K1 - Rookies by Scooter-Attack

  1. # 313 Marcel Triebs 38 pts.
  2. # 1 Merlin Depta 36 pts.
  3. # 189 Mike Johanshon 31 pts.

Final result championship 2020 - K1 Rookies by Scooter-Attack

K2 SuperSport + K4 BigBore & Supramatic

The championship was all about everything. In particular, the duel between D'Alessandro and Schmitt created tension. But even Elli should still be on the list after his great performance in Wittgenborn. For the starting line-up, however, an unusual picture emerged at first. The Italian drivers with their scooters were dominant here. Carsten Schmitt came in fourth, just a thousandth of a second behind Bertini.

  1. # 1111 Stefano Basile 1: 07.781
  2. # 721 Filippo Boceda 1: 08.220
  3. # 28 Michael Bertini 1: 08.388

Basile and Adonor got off to the best start. Basile kept the lead and Adorno moved up from 5th to 2nd. Behind it, Boceda. Schmitt landed in 5th place, but attacked again immediately and wanted to show that he would not give himself up to the Italian drivers without a fight. Schmitt attacked Boceda and was able to move up to 3rd place. Bertini and Boceda switched positions back and forth. In attack mode, D'Alessandro approached who drove up from 9th to 4th and also had the best chances in the direction of Schmitt. However, he wanted too much and had to push the scooter off the track after falling. Schmitt could not break away from Boceda. This regained 3rd place. Schmitt without D'Alessandro behind him was able to score important points for the championship. The finish line for K2 was: Boceda, Schmitt followed by Richter.

The finish line K4 was: Adorno, Basile followed by Bertini.

The second race started with even more aggressiveness. Adorno leads the way, Basile behind and Schmitt ready to attack. Basile was the first to grab Adorno and Schmitt was also able to take second place early on Adorno. Then it got hectic. Bertini suddenly got involved too. For Basile, however, it was over early after a part broke at full speed and fluid leaked and he then fell. Bodeca also fell. When both drivers got up again, Richter fell into the tire wall at the same point. Thank goodness nothing worse had happened. Richter could go on. The race was over for the Italians. The biggest beneficiary of the fall, however, was D'Alessandro, who briefly moved up to second place, but then had to admit defeat to Adorno and Schmitt.

The finish line K2 was: Schmitt, D'Alessandro followed by Hasemann.

The finish line K4 was: Bertini, Adorno followed by Zehe.

Final result K2 SuperSport

  1. # 33 Carsten Schmitt 45 pts.
  2. # 96 Philip Hasemann 29 pts.
  3. # 98 René Richter 26 pts.

K5 PitBike-Pole + K6 GP-Open

The championships in both classes were as good as decided. Brzeski and Jorewitz clearly led. Nevertheless, the two drivers had to arrive first. And Reese showed early on that Brzeski cannot rest.

The starting grid:

  1. # 101 Dennis Jorewitz 1: 09.663
  2. # 122 Joe Schack 1: 10.673
  3. # 469 Nils Brzeski 1: 12.564

The top duo showed their fabulous performance early on. Jorewitz raced away from the field and never let anything burn. An opponent has yet to be found here. Schack, who was slowed down significantly with additional weights, was still significantly faster than Brzeski. Brzeski, Reese and Förster fought great duels, which also repeatedly led to changes of position. In the end, Brzeski was ahead by a nose and asserted himself in third place.

The second race could have been copied for Jorewitz and Schack. Lonely top the two in your classes. However, Schack was taken out of the ranking because he drove without additional weights and therefore did not meet the minimum weight of 155kg according to the regulations. Förster was cashed in by Lang quite early. Reese was behind, got faster and faster and in the end relegated Brzeski to fourth place. As a result, he secured the win of the day.

Bottom line K5 pit bike stick

  1. # 555 Jens Reese 45 pts.
  2. # 469 Nils Brzeski 45 pts.
  3. # 14 Cedric Förster 29 pts.

Final result K6 GP-Open

  1. # 101 Dennis Jorewitz 50 pts.
  2. # 70 Benjamin Lang 40 pts.
  3. # 41 Adrian Bähr 32 pts.

K3 expert

The duel of the day was called between Lukas and Schröder. Both opponents were separated by only 2 points and so it was time for both of them to attack early in order not to miss any important championship point.

The qualification for the race showed a clear winner. Andreas Lukas. The scooter went so from the front that Pohl could only look with a 1 second gap in second place. The dominance of performance at the top of the Expert class has seldom been so great. Schröder was clearly left behind here.

  1. # 96 Andreas Lukas 1: 05.478
  2. # 169 Yannik Ong 1: 06.357
  3. # 3 Kevin Pohl 1: 06.808

Lukas was also able to win the first race at the start. As in training, the scooter went steeply. Pohl behind couldn't keep up and had to let Ong pass early. But then it should be too much of a good thing for Luke. He fell, was able to continue, but then had to park the scooter in the lane and look. This was an important preliminary decision in the championship. The first race would not have been Schröder's either. He was stuck behind Brüggeshemke for a long time and lost valuable time on the top. Schnell drove to 3rd place in the meantime after Hüser retired due to a fall at good speed. Ong at the top was able to keep Pohl sufficiently at a distance with 5 seconds and achieved a sovereign victory in front of Pohl and Schnelle.

For Schröder it was only a matter of arriving in the second race, then the championship would be his. Logically, Lukas had something against it. And so it was astonishing that both riders were characterized by crashes and did not fight for the lead at all. Ong says: "Thank you" and was able to take his second victory. As in the first race, Pohl was the laughing second and also drove his second podium place home. Third came M. Harder, who couldn't keep up at top speed. However, it was still able to benefit from the failures. So the championship aspirants carried out their title fight in the lower midfield. With 2th place, Lukas just kept his nose ahead of Schröder.

Final result K3 Expert by Scooter-Attack

  1. # 169 Yannik Ong 50 pts.
  2. # 3 Kevin Pohl 40 pts.
  3. # 58 Marc Harder 26 pts.

K8 1,5h endurance race + K9 Race of the Champion

The long-distance race was expanded to include a desired class of drivers at short notice. Many wanted to start again with their solo machines and so the Race of the Champion class for solo drivers was introduced at short notice. With 19 starts it was also very well filled at the Le Mans start. Ong, Lukas and Schmitt secured the top places in the qualification.

The team from Italy led the endurance race. The hot pursuer was the team around Andreas Lukas with M. Schröder as a passenger. Very early on, they attacked the Italians, who initially remained steadfast. Schmitt followed behind, who couldn't quite keep up with the speed. Due to the colorful mix of the field of drivers, battles for position were the order of the day and some of them soon lost track of their positions. Only a fall of Siemer from EMS Coast Tuners put an end to the hustle and bustle for a short time. This hit the barriers violently and barely missed the marshals. After a forced break of 15 minutes, the race could be continued again. Siemer was once again lucky in the misfortune and was able to do without a hospital stay.

The restart was the time of Luke. His team now finally set itself apart from the rest of the field. Things also went better for Schmitt after the restart. Shortly behind in 4th place, he was back in 2nd place. Bähr followed as a solo driver in front of the F + F motori team.

End result K8 long haul

  1. # 96 Andreas Lukas 25 pts.
  2. # 721 F + F motori 20 pts.
  3. # 1 Merlin Depta 16 pts.

End result K9 long haul

  1. # 33 Carsten Schmitt 25 pts.
  2. # 73 Achim Bähr 20 pts.
  3. # 35 PitBike Allstars 16 pts.

The training day

On the day of the training (Friday), you could train in bright sunshine and the whole day there was the opportunity to get to know the track or to improve your own lap time.

The race day

When it got light on Saturday morning, it was already wet and cold (12 degrees C.). After the heated battle in Cheb, a complete contrast program. The drivers' meeting took place under the newly designed canopy, where it started raining and didn't want to stop all day. Free practice started first and gave the five classes the opportunity to adapt to the general conditions. In the "one-size-fits-all" classes, which consist of two Smallframe- and one Largeframe-Class exist in which the scooters must be equipped with uniform engine components in order to enable the same conditions and exciting duels as possible.

It was especially exciting again in the big one Smallframe-Unit class, the K4.

Albert H. from the G16 racing team was the fastest man in the rain and was in first place ahead of Achim. Both gave everything and unfortunately fell. Achim's racing Vespa almost found itself in the men's toilet after the fall. After pulling his scooter out of the china again, he was able to finish the race in fourth place. In races 1 and 4 Robert fought hard with Albert and sometimes there was more water to be seen than the driver. Shoulder to shoulder through the wet curves! With the better end for Robert, and with it the championship in class K2.

In the K5 it was no less exciting:

Background: Valentino in first place in the championship standings in the K1 class, followed by Felix (-5 points) and Moody (-15). Three runs with 48 points each for the winner are still to be run.

Start run 1: After a great start, Valentino led the pack into the first corner, but had to let a strong Moody pass in the second corner. From the 2rd corner Moody slowly pulled away, followed by Valentino, Sebastian N., Christian K. etc. Felix didn’t really get going and had to fight some space fights in midfield, which made the train inaccessible for him made. Moody pulled away until the 3th lap, but then Valentino increased the pace and slowly but steadily caught up. (Meanwhile about three seconds between Moody and Valentino). Moody wanted to increase his pace again, but this led to a fall and threw him back to P5. Valentino took the lead, followed by Sebastian N. with a gap of about a second and was the first to bring it safely to the checkered flag. P6 for Sebastian, P2 for Christian K .. Moody had to give up completely one lap after the fall due to a technical ignition defect. Felix did not get beyond a 3 place. With this finish, Junior could no longer be ousted from P6 in the championship standings.

Run 2:  After another bombshell start, this time from pole, Valentino did not give up this lead until the finish line. Again closely followed by Sebastian, who couldn't catch up as close as in the first run. This time the gap was almost 1 seconds. Again in 2rd place followed Christian K. Moody could no longer show the speed of the 3st run and training and landed on P1, Felix on P6.

Run 3:  Seemed almost a bit boring, but the same as race 2, great start, another start-finish victory for Valle. It should be mentioned that a) Sebastian got off badly at the start this time, was involved in tough duels and had to put up with an 8th place. Moody also struggled and ended up on P5, which cost him 3rd place in the championship standings with the failure in the first run. And who will move up to P3 in the championship? Albert, who crossed the finish line in race 1 on P7 and race 2 on P5, and secretly secured the final podium in the championship with a hard-fought P3 in run 3.

At the end there was a 40min endurance race, in which only K5 vehicles were allowed to be used, and 2 drivers each (pairing was drawn). After 15 minutes the driver could be changed. The Achim and Valentino team won this new edition.

Race day 1: Premiere in Tulln - a complete success

On April 11.4.2015th, XNUMX the time had finally come: the first race day of the new season was about to begin. And with him 23 racing scooter drivers who made it before several thousand spectators and fans at bike in Tulln could not wait to finally compete in the first race in 2015. In addition, a motorcycle trade fair (the largest in Austria for 2015) is a great opportunity to present the ASCC, the teams and yourself to an interested audience. And so it happened…

... that was already in qualifying on Saturday morning Large audience interest. The weather just right. The drivers are fully motivated. And the surprise perfect: the newcomer Lukas Schossmann from the sQooter.com team took pole position with a lap time of 22,8 seconds. Starting place 2 went to Thomas Lukaseder from GP-One and in third place went to the overall winner 2014, Thomas Prasch from the Horny-Hornets.

At 14 p.m. the starting gun was fired for race 1, which, like almost all ASCC races, lasted 15min + 2 laps. The track turned out to be not too fast, rather narrow and, above all, very selective. Race number 1 was characterized by many crashes and failures, most of which ended with minor problems. Surprise driver Lukas Schossmann got through without any problems and celebrated his first victory. Second place went to Thomas Prasch and third went to Christoph Lafer. Organizer Ron said: “We knew beforehand that it would be tight and short. From then on it was driven very fairly. "

In race 2 there were even more spectators at the edge of the track. They got great racing action and exciting duels again. There were tight times, changes in leadership, lapping. The drivers agreed: “Tulln was awesome. Cool with the crowd. ”. At the end of race 2 Schossmann again prevailed with his bgm PRO Vespa chassis, ahead of Prasch and Kirchhofer.

Race day 2: Greinbach All or nothing!

The drivers of the ASCC agree on this: on the racetrack of the PS Racing Center in Greinbach there is only one motto: all or nothing! Anyone who does not fully pull through the long, high-speed curve (over 100km / h), who is afraid of the bumps at the end of this curve and who does not apply various load changes in the infield perfectly, has no chance to ride up front here.

And that's exactly how it was on April 25.4.2015, 2 at race day # 3 of the current season: only the most fearless and experienced racers were involved for the podium places. After local hero Gerhard Konrad from the HG racing team had to end the day prematurely (cylinder damage during training), the way was free for the 3 best of the season, Lukas Schossman, Thomas Prasch and Rainer Kirchhofer. It was surprising that Christoph Lafer from the VorResoSchalter team kept putting the first 2 under pressure and even crossed the finish line third in race XNUMX.

The most exciting scenes of the day were delivered by Schossmann and Prasch, who matched each other for a few laps for first place in run 1. Schossmann lost his pole position right at the start - the reason was a badly adjusted clutch - but was still able to win the race, ahead of Prasch and Kirchhofer. Also in run 1 Schossmann got the full 2 points with the bgm shock absorbers, again ahead of Prasch and this time Christoph Lafer in 25rd place.

24h Vespa race

24h Vespa race

Even before the first ESC racing events are held in Germany, a 24-hour racing spectacle takes place every year in Spain on the Circuito Internacional de Zuera. 24h Vespa race At 30 o'clock in Zuera, with summer temperatures of over 12 ° C, 62 teams started the 24-hour hunt. Including 6 teams from Germany and 1 team from Austria.

24h Vespa race Le Mans start

Zuera 2014 start of the 24h Vespa race After the Le Mans start Within the first hour, the lead changed between Scuderia ESC and Team Germany GSF / SCK before Team Germany took the lead for long hours. That 24h Vespa race is divided into 4 different classes.

What is allowed is allowed

You can find the fastest teams in the so-called Proto classes for Vespa Large and Smallframe. In these classes what is allowed is allowed, the performance is only regulated by the fact that the engine should keep in racing trim for as long as possible 24 hours at a time. Less powerful but also by no means unexciting are the classes Vespa Small and Largframe with original components. In this class you will find a PK75 as well as a PX125. The original engine components may be optimized, the original chassis unfortunately not. For the Protos, some of which are equipped with up to 30HP and have a good chassis, it became an experience here and there to plow through the field of the original classes. Some PK125s appear at night as a small, red taillight point on the start and finish straight in front of a fast driver and then grow into a whole scooter in a fraction of a second, which is apparently on the track. Nevertheless, the original classes are very popular, as a vehicle that is competitive in its class is available with few resources. Just like the claim of class 5 in the domestic ESC. IMG_1257 In relation to the distance of the race, some teams already showed failures after a short time. IMG_6968 Fortunately, in most cases the defects were minor. The premature death of some of the plug connections is probably one of the most common causes of short breaks, also taken with pleasure, the slipped carburetor ... In the meantime, could Team Germany (Powered by Scooter Center) continue to expand leadership. Up until the early evening, a good lead on the also very powerful team Laranja could be driven out. Zuera time table

At night with the Vespa on the racetrack

Driving on a racetrack at night is a special experience - fortunately, all teams had enough time in the light to memorize the course of the route. IMG_1339 In order to drive well through the night, the teams were allowed to compete with up to 6 drivers. Thus, sufficiently long breaks are possible for every driver. 24h vespa race massage Unfortunately, as the race distance increases, the material begins to suffer significantly. The tires and braking systems in particular are subject to very high loads. Fortunately, tubeless rims are standard in the racing circuit. If the tire is defective, the air escapes much more slowly than if the tube could simply collapse. Flat Unfortunately, with a comfortable lead of 20 laps, the first components also began to tire at Team Germany. The piston and cylinder had to be changed shortly before midnight. With a backlog that could be made up after the repair, now in second place, the hunt for first place could be resumed. Unfortunately, the race to catch up was stopped a short time later by a defective crankshaft. After 2 laps with a predominant portion of leadership laps, the number 1 had to be turned off. The Laranja team, now in first place, was also only able to enjoy the lead for another 539 laps - here too, the water-cooled Yamaha unit went on strike. As is so often the case, this became the third member of the group, after inconspicuous, even keeping up, Team Tarragona Happy winner of the crazy 24h event and crossed the finish line as the first team after 24:00:46. We congratulate everyone who survived this madness and, above all, drove it to the end. Special respect to the only all-women team that 70's Scooter Girl'z, who finished the race in a remarkable 31st place. 70ties girls 24h Vespa race See you next year for the 24h Vespa race in Spain and a fall-free ESC season!

The Scooter Center Team made its way to France. A visit to the Scootentole Challenge on the Mirecourt racetrack was planned.

With the SCK Racer and the Silver Fern in our luggage we set off towards the Nürburgring. A first stop at the 24-hour race and then went over the Belgian Ardennes towards France.

When we arrived at the racetrack, we first set up camp. You met old but also new faces and could devote yourself to the things that are close to your heart.

Thursday and Friday you could then watch the training runs in the best weather. Qualifying and the race started on Saturday. A rollercoaster of emotions but above all of the weather. Sudden showers made the race a torture for some. Finding the right setup here was certainly not easy.

A very exciting race ended well in the early evening with the following placements:
C1: 1. Uberto Parravicini, 2. Jonas Brüster, 3. Julien Desnuelle
C2S: 1. Romain Baguet, 2. Maxime Dias, 3. Martin Raube
C2L: 1. Thomas Lenkeit, 2. Steffen Biedermann, 3. Toni Fattorusso
C3: 1st Cristian Mazelli, 2nd Alberto Costa, 3rd Marco Büttner
C4: 1st Mauro Murgia, 2nd Guillaume Bordas, 3rd Jean-Luc Nobleaux

On Sunday it went back via Luxembourg to Aachen and then onwards Scooter Center. A successful weekend was drawing to a close. We are already looking forward to the next tour.

Short report from Zaragoza:

24 hours vespa zuera 2012.mp4

On days 3 and 4 we went to the surf mecca of Hossegor via Bordeaux. With the best surfing weather a successful change.

From here we went on to Spain. Then “fast” over the Pyrenees and the 1600Km would be done.

The Pyrenees were done and now it was on the home straight to Zaragoza.

2 days earlier than planned our 2 European travelers are in front of the Circuit ”Internacional de Zuera”. Now let's hope that the organizers will show up quickly ;-)

We wish our team every success in the 24h race and hope that the journey home will be just as great as the journey there.

Strong scooter race in Croatia on June 25.06.2011th, XNUMX in Belica

Croatia, the more contemplative sister of Italy on the Adriatic Sea, many people do not have on their radar when it comes to scooters. Of course you can rent small scooters in the tourist strongholds to take a gondola to the beach, but Croatia also has a very active scooter freak scene that is passionate and committed.

Our friends from Mojskuter held a scooter race for the first time in Belica, Northern Croatia on a karting course.
The area is known for changeable weather conditions, but convinced this weekend with strong sun and only light clouds. So there were some sunburns next to the already hot race track.

There was a classic round race on the kart track in three classes, free driving on the track, skill course, custom show, quartermile, stunt show and much more.
Even away from the race track and in the evening, the hospitable Croatians ensured a lot of fun and entertainment.
The audience and participants in this race come from all ages and cubic room classes.
A restricted view of brands or the like is not found here in a positive way. An old PX stands amicably in the parking lot next to a new Honda scooter, and on the quartermile a Gilera GP 800 scooter tries its luck against a much lighter two-stroke racing rocket.
Everything very relaxed.

The starting field was surprisingly international for a first event, and so you saw well-known drivers from Italy, who of course had a short journey to get there, and were eager to get to know a new route.

In addition to the always exciting races and quartermiles, the stunt show was particularly entertaining.
The organizer was also at peace with his first work and so there will probably be a scooter happening in Belica next year. An event that is worth a visit even if you have to travel further, especially since you can still spend a few nice days at the sea from there.

Last weekend the 3-hour long-distance race took place on the GP track at the Nürburgring for the third time.

As usual, we arrived on Saturday evening to have a leisurely barbecue, talk about gasoline and carry out final tests and approvals on the scooter. Everyone was in good spirits with the sunshine and mild temperatures.

There were 53 starters from Germany, England and Switzerland registered, so a very mixed field, which made the Le Mans start exciting. Unfortunately, the weather gods didn't mean it so well with us again. It rained heavily most of the time, both in practice and in the one-hour race that followed. The one who did well beforehand Rain tires mounted, which was a huge advantage. But even without the appropriate tires it was fun, because arriving safely was the top priority! Unfortunately there were also some failures. Of over 50 starters, only about 30 crossed the finish line.

Alex took 1st place in the fun class, Torsten took 6th place Klet 2 (Setup Alex: Polini EVO, Ludwig & Scherer exhaust, bgm crankshaft, Keihin carburetor - Setup Torsten: identical except for Cylinder Parmakit W-force).

Thanks to the DART Racing Team (for the nightly screwdriver help), the girls for the food and of course that SCOOTER CENTER for supporting our racing team!

Scooter race on the Nürburgring 2004

Finally again scooter races on the Nürburgring

At the end of 2003 the idea came up in the year 2004 one more time Scooter races on the Nürburgring to be able to drive. There were a few rules and a lot of fun:

  1. Vehicles only up to year of construction 1978 (all Vespa before PX, Servetta + ind. Up to 78, NSU, HEINKEL etc)
  2. Original optics = full frame and the body parts belonging to the model. So not cut, skeleton or similar and also no racer paintwork (unless they are contemporary like af-rayspeed or supertune)
  3. good, well-kept condition. so no matt black craft boxes ...
  4. Safety-relevant parts such as brakes and tires must of course function very well.
  5. some changes to the scooter to prevent parts of the vehicle from loosening during the race (e.g. secured oil drain plugs etc, but more on that later)
  6. Motor and brakes are completely free, ie. everything that works - except third-party motors (automatic, motorcycle, etc.) and other tire sizes or telescopic forks from automatic etc.
  7. Volume limit to 100 phon - so it gets really loud ...
  8. is driven no race but a so-called regularity run. ie., the one who completes his laps with the same lap time as possible, becomes the winner. in the event of a tie, it is based on the age of the vehicle; if there is still a tie, it is based on the age of the driver. But don't worry, you can drive evenly fast
  9.  we will definitely have our fun.
  10. the driver needs a leather suit, with a two-piece suit jacket and pants must be connected with a zipper. In addition, a back protector (highly recommended, I know from my own experience), high boots and a full-face helmet without major flaws and scratches, etc.
  11. the entry costs approx. 100 euros in advance, we do not need a license for the time being. In addition, probably a medical certificate and photo of the vehicle with all technical data (vehicle passport) in advance.
  12. at least 15-20 solid starters

Ok: said, done that Scooter Center was of course at the start:
