Hello, my name is Maryzabel!

2. My first week

In my first week as a trainee, I got to know the details of the process from ordering to goods registration in the respective departments. Scooter Center not only markets its own brands like: BGM and Moto Nostra, but also more than 300 brands such as: Malossi, Polini, Pinasco, Piaggio and other major brands and manufacturers of scooter parts.

My tasks were to reorder products with modern IT systems depending on the inventory and demand. The receipt of goods, the addition of new products to the system and also the packaging and storage. With so many different parts I've had to deal with, how can so many parts fit on our little scooter?

From the base like Cylinder and carburettor from bearings, seals to all body parts such as entire frame sets or side panels and fenders, all the smallest screws, washers, nuts, split pins up to the accessories, original, restoration, tuning, customizing. Madness what it's all im Scooter Center Warehouse and in Scootershop gives.

Sooner or later, we scooter drivers come into contact with the parts on our scooter. Silicone engine gasket set for Vespa Largeframe 2-channel motors 1959-1969 from BGM PRO

The BGM PRO silicone engine gasket set is specifically suitable for engines of the so-called LargeframeModels between year of construction 1959-1969.
These Vespa models can be recognized by the detachable engine side hood (with rubber seal) and a carburetor, which sits in a closed box directly on the engine housing (not on the cylinder).

This new seal kit fits the following models:

Easier assembly

There are two different silent rubber systems for the PK models:

Type 1: Two inserted silent blocks, each with a short vulcanized steel tube (like the BGM silent rubbers)

Type 2: A long tube and pressed-in rubbers that are secured to the tube by means of a locking ring.

The BGM silent rubbers are suitable for both types. With Type 1, the old rubbers can simply be removed from the housing (levered out). With type 2 the caulked retaining rings of the pipe must be removed, the pipe must be pushed out and the rubbers must be levered out. Then mount the new BGM PRO rubbers dry, (some talc can help here) push them back into the housing and, if necessary, re-insert them with a hammer that does not kick back.

In the past, you might have to go to the “specialist workshop”, which had special tools to pull in the new PK motorized rubber seals. If that was too expensive for you, you somehow removed the old silent blocks and then installed the V50 silent rubbers, but they were too long and not ideal for the PK engine. With the two-part motorized silent rubbers from bgm, you can now assemble the perfect silent rubber compound for your area of ​​application yourself!

Darren Conneely of the Team Replay successfully tested the bgm PRO Competition crankshafts during the BSSO competition of the season 2018. 15 years experience in crankshaft development

These models feature inserted rubbers. Remove the old rubbers from the engine casing.
Put the new bgm PRO silent blocks in the engine casing using a little bit of talcum.

Vespa PX80-150, Sprint, VBB, etc.

These models feature standard pressed silent blocks.
To get these out of the casing you have to grind, cut or drill off the ends. Then you take off the tube and rubbers from the casings. Put the new bgm PRO rubbers into the casings using a little bit of talcum.

Have inserted rubbers. Remove the old rubbers from the housing (lever out).
Push the new BGM PRO rubbers back into the housing with a little talcum powder.

Vespa PX80-150, Sprint, VBB, etc.

These models use rubber pressed ex works.
Drill / flex off the caulked axle ends here. Remove the tube and rubbers from the housing.

Darren Conneely du Team Replay a testé le nouveau vilebrequin bgm PRO Competition lors des courses BSSO in 2018. It's just a small thing, but ingenious: the bgm PRO main stand with Soft Stop System puts an end to the main stand feet hitting hard on the floor plate. As with the new Vespa PX Lusso models, the stand stop is now positioned on the sturdy mounting plates on the central frame tunnel.
The main stand is ideally stopped here without causing the floor pan to vibrate.
Not only is the noise when it is folded up, the stand with Soft Stop technology is also gentle on the frame. Cracks in the floor pan, caused by the original main stand, are forever history.

The Soft Stop main stand is delivered including stand sheets. These have additional stop plates on which the main stand rests. The ultimate innovation

It's just a small detail, but simply brilliant. Thanks to the soft stop system the feet of the bgm PRO center stand will no longer hit hard against the footboard. Like for the PX models, the center stand stop is now placed on the stable mounting brackets on the central frame tunnel.
The center stand will stop at an ideal position and this will prevent the footboard from vibrating.
Thanks to the soft stop system, the center stand will not only be less noisy when retracting but it will also protect the footboard from the cracks which are usually caused by the genuine stand.

The soft stop center stand includes mounting brackets that are also provided with additional plates on which the stand is fitted. This prevents the direct contact between the tube of the stand and the frame of the Vespa. Unlike the genuine stand, the new bgm PRO stand will no more rub against the painted footboard.

ASSEMBLY BGM 177 VESPA CYLINDER

All components must be cleaned thoroughly before installation. By selecting the cylinder seals, a squeeze dimension must be established in the specified area. The use of the cylinder head gasket is not absolutely necessary. The recommendation for the basic setting is a squeeze dimension of 1,0 mm. Observe the tightening torque on the cylinder head and tighten the nuts crosswise step by step.

FUEL-OIL MIXING RATIO
